Enderbound Manhunt

Quickstart

1. Gather at least two non-spectator players. The player who starts becomes the runner; everyone else becomes a hunter.
2. The runner presses R (the default Become Runner / Start Manhunt key) or uses /manhunt start.
3. Choose whether to take the Runner’s Sword by replying /manhunt sword yes or /manhunt sword no. The choice must be made within 60 seconds or the start expires.
4. Once the game begins, the hunter closest to the runner receives a Hunter’s Compass. Carry it to track the runner.
5. The runner tries to kill the Ender Dragon. Hunters try to catch the runner.

Overview

Enderbound Manhunt turns a multiplayer world into a race between one runner and the hunters pursuing them. A manhunt can only be started when at least two non-spectator players are online, and only one can be active at a time.

What It Adds

Neither item has a crafting recipe; they’re assigned through the manhunt start.

How To Use

• Start a game: Press R or run /manhunt start. The player who does this is the runner.
• Choose the sword: The runner uses /manhunt sword yes to accept or /manhunt sword no to decline. The game starts after the choice.
• Track the runner: The designated hunter should carry the Hunter’s Compass. Its target updates as the runner moves.
• End the chase: The hunters win if the runner dies. If the runner kills the Ender Dragon, the hunters lose.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Runner’s Sword deals extra attack damage and applies Wither for five seconds when it hits. If a player affected by this sword’s Wither eats food during those five seconds, their health is reduced to 1 and the effect is removed.

Progression And Strategy

The runner can use the sword to fight pursuers, but its Wither effect makes eating while affected dangerous. Hunters should follow the compass and work together to catch the runner before the Ender Dragon falls.
