Description
Emerald Fortune Armor is a gilded set of golden armor inlaid with emeralds. It looks (and sounds) like enchanted gold armor, glinting even without enchantments. Wearing the complete set awakens a bargain of fortune: powerful combat and luck buffs paired with clumsy drawbacks. It's a high-risk, high-reward armor set for players who want strong stats but are willing to live with some inconvenience.
All four pieces have a permanent enchanted glint and can be found in the Combat tab of the Creative inventory.
Each piece is crafted at a crafting table using emeralds, gold ingots, and (for the helmet and chestplate) a vanilla golden helmet or golden chestplate as the base.

In Survival mode, the crafting recipes for this set unlock automatically when you join a world—no need to discover them through the recipe book beforehand.
Emerald Fortune Armor offers strong base protection and toughness, comparable to a heavy-duty gold-style set, and it repairs using emeralds at an anvil or grindstone.
The real magic happens when you wear all four pieces at once. Every second, as long as the full set is equipped, you receive:
| Effect | Level | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Luck | I | Improves loot and fishing/trading odds |
| Strength | III | Significant melee damage boost |
| Unluck | I | Worsens loot and fishing/trading odds |
| Slowness | I | Reduces movement speed |
| Slow Falling | II | Lets you drift gently downward instead of falling hard |
These effects are tied together as a single package—you can't get the good without the bad. Luck and Unluck effectively work against each other, so the net effect on loot odds is more subtle than raw Luck alone. The Strength bonus is the standout perk, making the set attractive for melee-focused combat despite the movement penalty.
Take off any single piece and the buffs (and drawbacks) will expire within a couple of seconds, since they refresh only while the complete set is detected on your character. Swapping in a different armor material for even one slot—such as replacing the boots with another item—breaks the set bonus entirely, even if it looks similar.
