Elemental Toolstorm

Quickstart

  1. Check your inventory for the Elementstorm Field Guide, given when you first spawn. Use it to open the guide, then choose Close when you’re done. If you need another, craft one from a book and two paper:
  2. Gather diamonds and TNT, then craft a Blaststeel Sword at a crafting table:
  3. Try it on a hostile mob: its hit triggers a concussive burst and knockback without breaking blocks. For another combat effect, try a Slimebound Sword, which slows targets.
  4. Craft and equip a complete matching armor set to gain its set bonuses.

Overview

Elemental Toolstorm offers seven armor sets and three families of matching tools and weapons. The gear is crafted at a crafting table from materials such as TNT, slimeballs, packed ice, emeralds, amethyst shards, and netherite ingots.

What It Adds

  • Seven armor sets: Blaststeel, Slimebound, Cinderward, Frostbound, Verdant, Voidprism, and Rainbow Overlord.
  • Twelve weapons and tools: a sword, pickaxe, axe, and shovel in each of the Blaststeel, Slimebound, and Rainbow Overlord families.
  • Elementstorm Field Guide: a usable guide with crafting pointers and gear abilities.

Cinderward, Frostbound, Verdant, and Voidprism are armor sets; they have no matching tools in this lineup.

How To Use

  • Use the Elementstorm Field Guide to read its crafting and gear tips. It explains the basic symbols: D for diamond, E for TNT or slimeball, and S for stick.
  • Craft gear at a crafting table. Equip armor in its matching armor slot.
  • Use swords to attack. Use pickaxes, axes, and shovels for their corresponding block types.
  • Wear all four pieces of the same armor set to receive its set bonus.

Abilities And Mechanics

Weapon effects

  • Blaststeel Sword: creates a concussive burst and knocks the target back. The burst does not break blocks.
  • Slimebound Sword: inflicts Slowness on the target.
  • Rainbow Overlord Sword: makes the target glow temporarily.

Full-set bonuses

Wear the helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots from the same set to receive its bonuses:

Armor setSet bonus
BlaststeelFire Resistance and Resistance
SlimeboundJump Boost II and Slow Falling
CinderwardFire Resistance and Strength
FrostboundResistance and Speed II
VerdantRegeneration and Jump Boost II
VoidprismStrength II and Resistance II
Rainbow OverlordStrength III, Haste II, Resistance II, and Regeneration II

Progression And Strategy

Start with Blaststeel or Slimebound gear if you can gather diamonds and the matching TNT or slimeballs. Try the sword effect, then work toward a full armor set for its bonus. For more advanced equipment, collect netherite ingots for Rainbow Overlord gear; its complete armor set grants several powerful effects at once.
