Description:
Duplication Spawner is a placeable block that duplicates stored items: it provides 9 input slots and every 60 seconds copies each input stack into a separate duplicated-output buffer, duplicating full stacks and supporting stacked items. Right-click to open its GUI to view inputs, output counts, and the timer, and use the buttons to insert your held stack, withdraw input stacks, or collect duplicated output; hoppers pointing into the top or sides insert into the inputs, while a hopper underneath (or the Collect Output button) only extracts duplicated output — input slots are protected from extraction. The spawner saves its contents and timer with the world, and breaking it drops both stored inputs and any pending duplicates.

Duplication Spawner
Quickstart
- Gather 4 Amethyst Shards, 4 Diamonds, and 1 Eye of Ender.
- Craft the Duplication Spawner at a Crafting Table:
- Place the block anywhere in your world.
- Hold any item stack you want to duplicate, then interact (right-click / tap) the block to open its GUI.
- Press "Insert held stack" to load the item into an input slot.
- Wait 60 seconds — the spawner duplicates every stored input stack automatically, playing a sound and particle effect when it fires.
- Interact again and press "Collect Output" to take your duplicated items.
Overview
The Duplication Spawner is a single craftable block that passively duplicates items placed inside it. Load up to 9 item stacks into its input slots, and every 60 seconds the block copies each full stack into a separate output buffer. The input stacks are never consumed — they stay in place and get duplicated again on the next cycle. Outputs accumulate until you collect them.
What It Adds
| Content | Type | Description |
|---|
| Duplication Spawner | Placeable Block | Duplicates stored item stacks every 60 seconds |
How To Use
Opening the GUI
Interact with the placed block (right-click on Java-style controls, or the interact button on touch/controller) to open the Duplication Spawner menu. The GUI displays:
- Input slots — items currently loaded for duplication (up to 9 stacks).
- Output count — how many duplicated items are waiting to be collected.
- Timer — seconds remaining until the next duplication cycle.
GUI Buttons
| Button | Effect |
|---|
| Insert held stack | Moves the item stack currently in your hand into an input slot. Stacks that do not fully fit leave the remainder in your hand. |
| Withdraw input stacks | Returns all input stacks to your inventory. |
| Collect Output | Transfers all duplicated output from the buffer into your inventory. If your inventory is full, uncollected items remain in the buffer. |
Hopper Automation
Hoppers can automate both loading and unloading:
- A hopper pointing into the top or any side of the Duplication Spawner inserts items into the input slots.
- A hopper placed underneath the block extracts only from the duplicated-output buffer — input slots are fully protected from hopper extraction.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Duplication Spawner at a standard Crafting Table using Amethyst Shards, Diamonds, and an Eye of Ender:
The block takes about 5 seconds to mine by hand and has moderate explosion resistance, so it is not trivial to destroy accidentally.
Abilities And Mechanics
- 60-second cycle — every 60 seconds, each occupied input slot produces one duplicate of its stored stack and places it in the output buffer.
- Full-stack duplication — the entire input stack is copied; stacked items are fully supported.
- Input protection — hoppers and automation can never accidentally drain the input slots; only the GUI's Withdraw button removes inputs.
- Persistence — the block saves all input stacks, buffered output, and the current timer when the world is saved. Nothing is lost on reload.
- Break behavior — breaking the Duplication Spawner drops all stored input items and any pending duplicated output as item entities at the block's location.
- Self-insertion prevention — you cannot insert a Duplication Spawner into itself.
Progression And Strategy
- Early use: Start with a single item type you need in bulk (arrows, food, ingots) and let cycles accumulate while you do other tasks.
- Load all 9 slots: Each slot duplicates independently per cycle, so filling all 9 inputs maximises output per minute.
- Automate collection: Place a hopper underneath feeding into a chest to collect output hands-free, creating a fully passive farm.
- Protect your inputs: Because input slots cannot be extracted by hoppers, you never need to worry about an automation mishap draining your seed items.
- Costly but permanent: The Eye of Ender and Diamond cost makes this a mid-to-late game investment, but once built it runs indefinitely without fuel or ongoing maintenance.
