Description
Duplication Spawner is a placeable block that copies stored items into a duplicated-output buffer every 10 minutes. It provides nine input slots and, on each 10-minute cycle, copies each input stack into separate output slots, duplicating full stacks and stacked items. Right-click to open its GUI to view inputs, output counts, and the countdown timer and use the buttons to insert your held stack, withdraw input stacks, or collect duplicated output; hoppers pointing into the top or sides insert into inputs, while a hopper underneath (or the Collect Output button) only extracts duplicated output — input slots are protected from extraction; the spawner saves its contents and timer with the world and drops stored inputs and any pending duplicates when broken.

Duplication Spawner
Quickstart
- Gather 2 Diamonds, 2 Amethyst Shards, and 1 Cobbled Deepslate.
- Craft the Duplication Spawner at a Crafting Table:
- Place the block anywhere in your world.
- Hold any item stack you want to duplicate, then right-click the block to open its GUI.
- Press Insert held stack to load your items into an input slot.
- Wait 10 minutes — a duplication cycle runs, copying every input stack into the output buffer.
- Press Collect Output (or place a hopper underneath) to retrieve your duplicated items.
Overview
The Duplication Spawner is a single craftable block that automatically copies items placed inside it. Every 10 minutes it reads each of its nine input slots and produces a matching copy of every stored stack into a separate output buffer. The original input stacks are never consumed — they stay in place and get copied again on the next cycle. This makes the spawner a passive, set-and-forget item farm that works indefinitely as long as the block remains loaded.
What It Adds
| Content | Description |
|---|
| Duplication Spawner (block) | Placeable machine with 9 input slots and an output buffer; duplicates stored stacks every 10 minutes |
How To Use
Opening the GUI
Right-click the Duplication Spawner to open its interface. The GUI shows:
- Input slots — the items currently stored for duplication.
- Output count — how many duplicated stacks are waiting to be collected.
- Countdown timer — time remaining until the next duplication cycle.
GUI Buttons
| Button | Action |
|---|
| Insert held stack | Moves the item stack you are currently holding into an input slot |
| Withdraw input stacks | Returns all input slot contents to your inventory |
| Collect Output | Transfers all duplicated output from the buffer to your inventory |
Hopper Automation
- Hoppers pointing into the top or sides of the spawner automatically insert items into input slots.
- A hopper placed underneath the spawner extracts only duplicated output — input slots are protected and cannot be drained by hoppers.
Duplication Cycle
Every 10 minutes the spawner fires automatically. Each input stack is copied in full into the output buffer. Full stacks and partial stacks are both duplicated as-is. Input items are never removed or reduced — the same items will be duplicated again on every subsequent cycle.
Breaking the Block
When the Duplication Spawner is broken it drops all items stored in its input slots and any pending duplicated output as item entities at its location. The countdown timer is also discarded. The spawner block itself is not dropped — it must be re-crafted.
Crafting And Obtaining
The spawner requires Diamonds and Amethyst Shards as the active components with Cobbled Deepslate as the core, reflecting its mid-to-late-game power level.
Abilities And Mechanics
- 10-minute cycle — duplication triggers automatically every 10 real-time minutes while the chunk is loaded.
- Nine input slots — you can load up to nine distinct item stacks (or multiple stacks of the same item spread across slots) simultaneously.
- Non-destructive inputs — source items in input slots are never consumed; they persist across every cycle.
- Output buffer — duplicated copies accumulate in the output buffer until collected; uncollected output stacks up across multiple cycles.
- Persistence — the spawner saves all input items, buffered output, and the current countdown timer when the world saves. Nothing is lost on reload.
- Visual and audio feedback — a particle effect and sound play each time a duplication cycle completes.
- Explosion resistance — the block has moderate resistance to explosions and takes about 5 seconds to mine by hand.
- Cannot duplicate itself — attempting to insert a Duplication Spawner into its own input slots is blocked.
Progression And Strategy
- Early automation: Place a hopper chain feeding raw materials (e.g., iron ingots, coal, food) into the top of the spawner so it fills its input slots automatically. Put a hopper below it leading into a chest to collect output hands-free.
- Stack smartly: Load all nine input slots with different items to maximize what you get per cycle — each slot duplicates independently.
- Timing: One cycle per 10 minutes means you gain one extra copy of everything stored per cycle. Keep the spawner in a loaded chunk (near your base) to ensure cycles run continuously.
- Recovery: If you need to reclaim your seed items, use Withdraw input stacks from the GUI — it returns everything safely without breaking the block.
