Description
The Double Cherry is a magical item that lets you summon up to four player-shaped clones that visibly render with your skin, armor, animations, shadow, and full hitbox — right-click to consume a cherry and spawn a clone near you with a brief cherry/end-rod sparkle burst. Clones automatically target and attack any mob you hit, dealing damage and pursuing enemies on your behalf; sneak + right-click toggles between Sync Mode (clones follow you in formation) and Chaos Mode (they swarm unpredictably). Each clone has half your health, remains fully visible until destroyed or after 5 minutes, and continuously mirrors your equipped armor (copied gear won’t drop on death) so you get a persistent, visually accurate entourage in combat.

Overview
Double Cherry is a combat-focused item that lets you summon up to four loyal Cherry Clones — player-shaped fighters that wear your skin and armor, fight on your behalf, and follow you across the battlefield. Each clone is a visible, full-bodied copy of you, complete with your current equipment appearance, animations, and shadow.
What It Adds
| Content | Description |
|---|---|
| Double Cherry | A consumable item (stacks to 16) found in the Food & Drinks group. Right-click to spend one and spawn a clone. |
| Cherry Clone | A combat entity that looks like you, fights for you, and lasts up to 5 minutes. |
How To Use
Spawning Clones
Right-click with a Double Cherry in hand. One cherry is consumed (not in Creative mode) and a Cherry Clone spawns within a couple of blocks of you, accompanied by a burst of cherry-leaf particles and end-rod sparkles. A status message in the action bar shows how many clones you currently have active (e.g. Clone spawned! 2/4).
You can have a maximum of 4 clones active at a time. Attempting to spawn more will display a warning message instead.
Combat Behaviour
Whenever you hit a mob, all of your active clones within 50 blocks will immediately target and pursue that mob, attacking it with melee strikes. You don't need to manage them — just attack and they follow your lead.
Sync Mode vs. Chaos Mode
Sneak + right-click while holding the Double Cherry to toggle all your clones between two behaviours:
| Mode | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Sync Mode (default, aqua text) | Clones follow you in formation and stay close. |
| Chaos Mode (purple text) | Clones swarm unpredictably around you, moving at erratic speeds. |
A chime sound plays when you switch modes, and the action bar confirms which mode is now active.
Clone Lifetime & Destruction
- Each clone has 5 hearts (10 HP) — half a standard player's health.
- Clones cannot be hurt by their owner.
- If a clone's health reaches zero, it disappears in a poof of smoke with a cherry-leaves sound.
- Clones that are not destroyed despawn automatically after 5 minutes.
Crafting And Obtaining
There are two crafting recipes for the Double Cherry:
- Mirror centre yields 1 Double Cherry.
- Glass centre yields 2 Double Cherries.
Both use Chorus Fruit in the four cardinal slots around the centre item. The Double Cherry appears in the Food & Drinks creative tab.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Visual accuracy: Clones render with your exact skin, including all cosmetic layers (hat, jacket, sleeves, pants). They also display your current armor visually.
- Armor mirroring: Clones continuously mirror your equipped armor. The copied gear does not drop when a clone is destroyed.
- Owner immunity: Your own clones will never deal damage to you, and you cannot accidentally damage them.
- Clone name tag: Each clone is labeled as [YourName]'s Clone above its head.
- Item glint: The Double Cherry has an enchantment glint, making it easy to spot in your inventory.
Progression And Strategy
- Start with 2–4 cherries before heading into a dungeon or raid. Filling your clone cap (4 clones) before a tough fight multiplies your effective damage significantly.
- Use Sync Mode when navigating tight spaces or corridors so your clones don't wander off.
- Switch to Chaos Mode against groups of enemies — the unpredictable swarming behaviour spreads aggro and hits multiple targets.
- Clones have half your health, so keep them away from heavy AoE attacks. Respawn fallen clones quickly by consuming another cherry mid-fight.
- The glass recipe is more material-efficient if you need bulk cherries — two cherries per craft versus one from the mirror recipe.
- Clones persist through your movement, so you can summon them before a boss fight and they'll still be active when you arrive, as long as you're within 50 blocks.
