Quickstart

1. Craft the Deicide Blade using the recipe below and hold it in your hand.
2. You will immediately notice falling star particles surrounding you and feel Strength II — you are ready to fight.
3. Shift + Right-Click to cycle through the three abilities (a chat message confirms the active selection).
4. Right-Click to fire the currently selected ability.
5. Start with Divine Smite to blast a target from range, then try Cosmic Shift to dash through a crowd.

Overview

The Deicide Blade is a legendary Netherite-tier sword built for overwhelming combat dominance. Simply holding it passively empowers you with raw strength and resilience, while its three independent active abilities let you devastate enemies at range, dash through packs, or detonate a massive area shockwave. Each ability has its own cooldown, so all three remain available in the same fight.

Abilities And Mechanics

Passive Effects

While the Deicide Blade is held in either hand, you receive:

• Strength II — significantly increased melee damage.
• Status effect immunity — Wither, Poison, Slowness, and Blindness cannot affect you.
• Celestial aura — a continuous shower of falling star particles surrounds your character.

Active Abilities

Use Shift + Right-Click to cycle between the three abilities. A chat message confirms which is selected. Press Right-Click to activate.

Because cooldowns are tracked independently, activating one ability never locks out the others. You can use Divine Smite and Cosmic Shift freely in the same engagement while saving Supernova Shatter for crowd-clearing situations.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Deicide Blade requires rare end-game materials — plan your progression around reaching the End and the Nether before attempting to craft it.

Key ingredients at a glance:

• Nether Star — dropped by the Wither.
• Netherite Ingots — smelted from ancient debris found deep in the Nether.
• Echo Shards — found in Ancient City chests in the Deep Dark.
• Totem of Undying — dropped by Evokers in Woodland Mansions and Raids.

Progression And Strategy

• Acquisition order: defeat the Wither for the Nether Star, loot Ancient Cities for Echo Shards, hunt Evokers for the Totem of Undying, then smelt Netherite Ingots — all before crafting.
• Opening a fight: select Divine Smite, strike from range to soften a target, then switch to Cosmic Shift to close the gap and scatter surrounding mobs.
• Boss fights: open with Cosmic Shift to reposition safely, use Divine Smite to deal burst damage on cooldown, and hold Supernova Shatter for when you are surrounded or need a quick escape and mass debuff.
• Supernova timing: the 60-second cooldown makes Supernova Shatter a once-per-major-engagement tool — save it for dense mob groups or high-priority moments rather than burning it on a single enemy.
• Passive survivability: the immunity to Poison and Wither makes the blade especially effective against Wither Skeletons, cave spiders, and the Wither itself — perfect for the dangerous locations you must visit to gather the crafting materials.
