Cursed Undying Totem

Quickstart

1. Obtain a Totem of Undying as you normally would (defeat an Evoker, trade, or use creative inventory).
2. Look at it in your inventory or hotbar — it now displays a cursed, reworked appearance.
3. Hold it in your hand or offhand just like a normal Totem of Undying.
4. When you would die while holding it, it triggers the standard Totem of Undying save effect.

There is nothing extra to craft, unlock, or configure — the totem simply looks different.

Overview

Cursed Undying Totem is a cosmetic reskin of the vanilla Totem of Undying. The totem functions exactly as it always does, but its appearance has been replaced with a darker, "cursed" visual design. This is purely a visual reimagining of an existing item — no new mechanics, items, blocks, or entities are introduced.

What It Adds

• A new cursed-style texture and appearance for the Totem of Undying.
• No new items, recipes, blocks, or creatures.
• No changes to how the totem behaves, its stats, or its effects.

How To Use

Play the game as you normally would. Any Totem of Undying you obtain — whether from combat, trading, structure loot, or creative mode — will show the cursed appearance automatically. There is no special activation, toggle, or command required.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Totem of Undying cannot be crafted in survival; it is obtained the same ways it always has been:

• Defeating an Evoker (found in Woodland Mansions and Raids).
• Finding one in creative mode inventory for building/testing purposes.

No new recipes are introduced by this mod, and no recipe shortcodes apply here.

Abilities And Mechanics

The totem retains its normal life-saving ability:

• When held in your main hand or offhand and you take fatal damage, it activates automatically.
• It prevents death, restores a small amount of health, and grants brief regeneration and absorption effects.
• The totem is consumed after use, just as with the standard item.

There are no gameplay changes — only the totem's look has been altered.

Progression And Strategy

Since this mod is purely cosmetic, your strategy around the Totem of Undying doesn't change: keep one in your offhand during risky fights (bosses, PvP, or dangerous exploration) so it can save you from an unexpected fatal hit. Enjoy the new cursed look while relying on the same trusted last-chance safety net.
