Overview

Cursed Fries are a food item that looks appetizing but comes with a dark twist. They fill your hunger bar generously, but every bite curses your luck and slows your movement for a long time. Use them carefully — they're best saved for situations where you can afford the drawbacks, or used mischievously on unsuspecting friends in multiplayer.

What It Adds

• Cursed Fries — a stackable food item found in the Food & Drink tab of the Creative inventory.

How To Use

• Hold Cursed Fries and use the "eat" action (right-click / use item) just like any normal food.
• Eating them restores a solid chunk of hunger and saturation.
• Immediately after eating, you'll be affected by:
  • Bad Luck (Unluck) — makes loot from fishing, trading, and looting worse for a long time.
  • Slowness II — significantly reduces your movement speed for a long time.
• Plan your movements and any looting/fishing/trading activities around these effects, since they last several minutes.

Crafting And Obtaining

Cursed Fries are crafted using potatoes, nether wart, and a spider eye — a fittingly unsettling combination for a cursed snack.

The recipe for Cursed Fries is automatically known to all players as soon as they join the world, so no discovery or unlocking is required beyond simply gathering the ingredients.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Hunger Restoration: Cursed Fries restore a large amount of hunger and saturation, making them a filling meal.
• Curse Effects: Every time you eat Cursed Fries, you are afflicted with both Bad Luck and Slowness, lasting for several minutes each.
• Stacking: Cursed Fries stack up to 64 per slot, making them easy to carry or store in bulk.

Progression And Strategy

• Cursed Fries are a high-risk, high-reward food: great for emergency hunger refills, but poor timing to eat before mining, fishing, trading, or fighting due to the curse effects.
• Consider eating them only when you're settled somewhere safe, or when you don't need precise movement or good luck in the near future.
• Their nether wart and spider eye ingredients give them a "witchy" theme — fitting for a snack best paired with caution rather than convenience.
