Crowned Hornstalker

Quickstart

• In Creative mode, find the Crowned Hornstalker spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs tab and use it on the ground.
• Or summon one with /summon crowned-hornstalker-tkjxqjas:crowned_hornstalker_tkjxqjas ~ ~ ~.
• Give it room to move, then approach as a non-Creative player to see it lock on and pursue you. Keep your distance: its attack is dangerous at close range.
• To preview its animations, interact with it using your main hand to cycle between its attack and alert actions. Sneak-interact to stop the current action.

Overview

The Crowned Hornstalker is a towering hostile mob that hunts survival players. It can pursue targets from a distance and attacks with a close-range strike.

What It Adds

• The Crowned Hornstalker mob.
• A Crowned Hornstalker spawn egg.

How To Use

Use the spawn egg on a block to place the mob. When it detects a survival player, it alerts with a roar and pursues them. Creative and spectator players are ignored.

Its attack requires a clear line of sight and very close proximity. The strike lands during its attack animation, so breaking line of sight or moving away before the impact can help you avoid damage.

Crafting And Obtaining

The spawn egg is available in Creative mode’s Spawn Eggs tab. No crafting recipe is listed for it. You can also spawn the mob with the command shown in the Quickstart.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Health: 42 points (21 hearts)
• Armor: 4
• Melee damage: 7 before the target’s damage reduction
• Pursuit: Follows targets over a long range, up to 40 blocks.
• Attack: Strikes only when close enough and able to see its target. The impact occurs partway through the attack animation.
