Crimson Tail Skyliner

Quickstart

1. Craft the Crimson Tail Skyliner placer at a crafting table:

1. Select the Crimson Tail Skyliner placer and use it in the world to deploy the airliner.
2. Interact with the deployed airliner to take the pilot seat.
3. Use normal movement controls to steer through the air. Look in the direction you want to fly.
4. While mounted, tap/use or press Jump to activate the Cruise Boost, which propels the airliner in the direction you are looking.

The placer is non-stackable. The aircraft has one seat, so only one player can pilot it at a time.

Overview

The Crimson Tail Skyliner is a colorful, fast-flying airliner for exploring the world from above. It has no gravity, can fly over water, and gives its rider direct control of the aircraft.

How To Use

Deploying the Airliner

Use the Crimson Tail Skyliner placer while holding it. The aircraft appears in the world and can be boarded by interacting with it.

You can also summon the aircraft directly with:

/summon com_crimson_tail_skyliner_tlnarhrt:my_vehicle

Boarding and Dismounting

Interact with the aircraft to board it. Sneaking while interacting skips the normal boarding interaction.

Use your standard Bedrock dismount control to leave the pilot seat. The aircraft remains in the world after you dismount.

Flying

While seated:

• Use forward, backward, and sideways movement controls to steer.
• Look up or down to control your flight direction.
• The aircraft stays airborne instead of falling under normal gravity.
• It can travel over water without being forced to land.

Backward movement is slower than forward movement, while sideways movement remains responsive.

Abilities And Mechanics

Cruise Boost

The pilot's primary action is Cruise Boost. Activate it by tapping/using or pressing Jump while mounted.

The boost applies an impulse in the direction you are looking, allowing you to:

• Accelerate during a long flight
• Climb or dive quickly
• Adjust your approach to a landing area
• Recover momentum after turning

Cruise Boost has a cooldown of approximately 1.5 seconds, so repeated activation is possible but not instantaneous.

Vehicle Durability

The airliner has 40 health points. Avoid hazards and hostile attacks when flying close to the ground. Its collision box can still interact with the environment, pistons, and other entities.

The main obtainable item is the non-stackable Crimson Tail Skyliner placer. Craft it at a crafting table:

The crafted placer deploys the rideable airliner when used.

Progression And Strategy

• Build a clear runway or launch area before deploying the aircraft.
• Gain altitude before using Cruise Boost for long-distance travel.
• Look slightly upward when you need to climb and level your view for faster horizontal travel.
• Use short boosts while navigating around buildings, mountains, and other obstacles.
• Land in an open area so the aircraft is easy to board again.
• Because there is only one seat, take turns piloting when playing with a group.
