Quickstart

1. Open your inventory — the recipe is unlocked automatically when you join a world.
2. Craft the Crimson Orbdrinker using the recipe below and pick it up from the crafting output.
3. Equip it and start hitting enemies — you'll heal half a heart with every successful melee strike.
4. Right-click while holding the weapon to launch a crimson orb projectile at your target.

Overview

The Crimson Orbdrinker is a netherite-tier melee weapon with a built-in lifesteal effect and a ranged attack. Its permanent enchanted glow hints at its dark, magical nature. It rewards close-quarters aggression: the more you fight, the more you heal.

How To Use

Melee Combat

Swing the Crimson Orbdrinker like any sword. Each hit on a living entity heals you for ½ heart (1 HP). There is no limit to how often this triggers — consistent, aggressive melee fighting keeps your health topped up.

Firing a Crimson Orb

Right-click to launch a crimson orb projectile in the direction you're aiming. The orb travels in a straight arc and disappears on impact with a block or entity.

• Each use puts the weapon on a short cooldown (~0.9 seconds) before you can fire again.
• Each fired orb costs 1 durability.

Abilities And Mechanics

The devastating blast is purely random — every orb you fire has a 1-in-100 chance of detonating for massive damage, making spamming orbs a viable strategy against tough targets.

The recipe is automatically unlocked for all players on world load. Craft the Crimson Orbdrinker at a standard crafting table:

The recipe requires high-tier materials — Netherite Ingots, Netherite Scrap, Diamonds, and a Blaze Rod — so plan to progress well into the Nether before crafting it.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Gather diamonds and venture into the Nether for netherite and blaze rods before you can craft the weapon.
• Melee focus: The lifesteal makes the Crimson Orbdrinker especially strong against groups of enemies — wade in, hit multiple targets, and recover health continuously.
• Orb spam: Right-clicking rapidly (within cooldown limits) gives you a steady chance to trigger the 1% devastating blast. Against bosses or the Ender Dragon, persistent orb fire can pay off enormously.
• Durability management: Melee hits do not consume durability; only firing orbs does. Enchanting the weapon with Unbreaking or Mending extends its life significantly.
