Mod Wiki
Crimson One Shot
Quickstart
- Gather Redstone, a Nether Star, Gunpowder, and a Blaze Rod.
- Craft the Crimson One Shot at a Crafting Table (recipe below).
- Hold it in your hand, aim at any mob, and use (right-click / tap the use button) to fire.
- Watch the mob drop in a single shot — a lightning bolt strikes to mark the kill.
Overview
The Crimson One Shot is a powerful, epic-rarity weapon that fires an invisible projectile capable of instantly killing any non-player mob it hits. It functions like a firearm: you aim, you fire, and the target dies. No follow-up hits needed, no matter how much health the mob has.
What It Adds
| Item | Rarity | Durability | Stack Size |
|---|
| Crimson One Shot | Epic (red name) | 250 uses | 1 |
The item appears in the Equipment tab of the creative inventory and has an enchantment glint by default.
How To Use
- Fire: Hold the Crimson One Shot and press the Use button (right-click on Java-style controllers, or the on-screen Use button on touch) to shoot a projectile in the direction you are looking.
- Cooldown: After each shot, a 1-second reload period applies. Your action bar will display a countdown if you try to fire too soon.
- Hit feedback: On a successful fire, your action bar shows CRIMSON ONE SHOT — FIRED! A gunshot sound plays nearby, and a lightning bolt strikes any mob that is hit.
- Does not harm players: The instant-kill effect applies only to mobs. Other players are unaffected by the projectile.
Abilities And Mechanics
- One-shot kill: Any mob struck by the projectile is killed instantly, regardless of its maximum health.
- Lightning strike: A lightning bolt spawns at the target's location upon a kill, adding a dramatic visual effect.
- Durability loss: Each shot consumes exactly 1 durability. The weapon lasts for 250 shots before breaking.
- Repair: The Crimson One Shot can be repaired using Netherite Ingots at an Anvil. Each ingot restores 125 durability (half the maximum), so two ingots restore a fully depleted weapon.
- Enchantable: Accepts sword-type enchantments at an Enchanting Table or Anvil.
- Slowdown while firing: Movement speed is reduced while the use animation plays, similar to drawing a crossbow.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Crimson One Shot at a Crafting Table using the recipe shown below. The recipe unlocks automatically once you have Redstone, a Nether Star, Gunpowder, or a Blaze Rod in your inventory.
Progression And Strategy
- Mid-to-late game power: The Nether Star ingredient means you must defeat the Wither before crafting the Crimson One Shot, placing it firmly in late-game territory.
- Boss and elite mob hunting: With 250 shots per weapon and the ability to one-shot anything, it excels against bosses, Wardens, or any high-health mob you would otherwise struggle to defeat.
- Bring Netherite Ingots: Stock up on Netherite Ingots for repairs if you plan extended combat sessions. Two ingots fully restore a depleted weapon.
- Cooldown management: The 1-second reload means you cannot spam shots. Line up each shot carefully, especially during fast-moving encounters.
- Enchanting: Adding Unbreaking via an Anvil or Enchanting Table significantly extends the weapon's lifespan between repairs.
