Quickstart

It grants access to a menu of powerful abilities that buff your gear and support your combat, all triggered through a simple double-click gesture rather than traditional item use.

What It Adds

• Crimson Offhand Grimoire — a unique offhand book item with high rarity, a dark red glow, and its own durability pool.
• An in-game ability menu accessible directly from the item, offering multiple abilities split across two modes: Offense and Support.
• Temporary enchantment effects that can be applied to your weapon or armor through the Grimoire's abilities.

How To Use

• Hold the Grimoire in your main hand and double right-click within a short window to open its ability menu. (A single click will not open it — you must click twice quickly.)
• The Grimoire also works while resting in your offhand, letting you keep a sword, axe, or other tool in your main hand.
• Selecting an ability from the menu activates it immediately, provided it is off cooldown.
• Abilities are grouped into two modes:
  • Offense — abilities aimed at boosting your combat power.
  • Support — abilities aimed at defense and sustain.
• Switching modes has its own cooldown, so plan ahead rather than swapping constantly.
• A status message prefixed with "✦ Crimson Grimoire" appears in your chat/HUD to confirm ability activations and cooldown timers.
• The Grimoire has limited durability and can take enchantments like a normal tool if you want to reinforce it further.

Craft the Grimoire at a crafting table using nether stars, blaze powder, an ender eye, a written book, and gold ingots.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Offense abilities can imbue your currently held weapon with combat-focused enchantments (such as sharper strikes, fire damage, and added durability), turning your weapon into a temporary powerhouse.
• Support abilities can imbue equipped armor with protective enchantments to help you survive tougher fights.
• Each ability has its own individual cooldown, so you can chain different effects rather than waiting on one global timer.
• The Grimoire only functions if it is actually equipped — either in the offhand slot or held in the main hand — so keep it on your person to use its menu.

Progression And Strategy

Because the Grimoire occupies your offhand and works alongside your normal weapon, it rewards players who want to enhance combat rather than replace it. Use Offense mode abilities before engaging tough enemies to temporarily supercharge your weapon, and switch to Support mode when you need extra survivability, keeping an eye on the mode-swap cooldown so you commit to a strategy for each encounter rather than switching on the fly.
