Crimson Night Hare

Quickstart

1. Open your Creative inventory and search for Crimson Night Hare to find its spawn egg, or find one already prowling the world after dark.
2. Use the spawn egg on any block to place a Crimson Night Hare into the world.
3. Alternatively, explore Plains or Taiga biomes at night — Crimson Night Hares spawn naturally on the ground once the sun goes down.
4. Approach carefully: this is not a normal, harmless bunny. It has far more health than a regular rabbit and its glowing red eyes are a warning sign.

Overview

The Crimson Night Hare is a blood-red variant of the common rabbit that only comes out after nightfall. It looks like an ordinary hare at a glance, but its crimson coat, glowing eyes, and unusual toughness set it apart. It hops around like any rabbit, but shrugging off damage that would kill a normal one many times over.

What It Adds

• Crimson Night Hare — a new passive-type mob based on the vanilla rabbit, with a distinct red-and-black texture and red eyes.
• Crimson Night Hare Spawn Egg — found in the Spawn Eggs section of the Creative inventory, used to summon the hare anywhere.

How To Use

• Spawning it yourself: Use the spawn egg on any surface to place a Crimson Night Hare. This works in any biome, at any time of day.
• Finding it in the wild: Crimson Night Hares only appear naturally at night, and only in Plains or Taiga biomes. Once dawn breaks, no new ones will spawn, though any already present will remain until they leave or are dealt with.
• It moves and behaves like a rabbit — hopping around, fleeing when threatened — but don't underestimate it based on its size.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe for this mob or its egg. Obtain the Crimson Night Hare by:

• Pulling its spawn egg from the Creative inventory's Spawn Eggs tab, or
• Encountering it naturally at night in Plains or Taiga biomes.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Nocturnal spawning: Crimson Night Hares only spawn naturally during nighttime hours, and only on the ground in Plains and Taiga biomes.
• High durability: Despite its rabbit-sized appearance, the Crimson Night Hare has dramatically more health than a normal rabbit, making it far harder to kill in a single hit or two.
• Rabbit-like behavior: It shares the movement, hopping, and general temperament of vanilla rabbits, so don't expect it to be aggressive — but be ready for a longer fight than you'd expect if you try to hunt it.

Progression And Strategy

Treat the Crimson Night Hare as a nighttime curiosity and minor challenge rather than a standard food source. Since it takes noticeably more effort to bring down than an ordinary rabbit, players hunting for meat or rabbit hide may want to seek out normal rabbits during the day instead, and save encounters with the Crimson Night Hare for when they're prepared for a tougher fight after dark.
