Quickstart

1. Craft the Red Fire Extinguisher using the recipe below, or grab one from the Tools creative tab.
2. Hold it in either hand and hold right-click to spray a cone of white foam forward.
3. Aim at fires, burning blocks, or mobs that are on fire — the foam puts them all out instantly.
4. Watch the action bar while spraying; it shows your remaining pressure. Once it hits zero the extinguisher is empty.

Overview

Crimson Foam Sprayer adds a single craftable tool — the Red Fire Extinguisher — that gives players a reliable, ranged way to fight fire in survival. It fires a visible cone of white foam (cloud and snowflake particles) that continuously douses fires and burning entities in front of you, complete with hissing extinguish sounds. The extinguisher runs on finite pressure (represented by item durability), so managing your supply is part of the experience.

How To Use

• Hold right-click with the extinguisher in your main hand or off-hand to begin spraying.
• The foam cone reaches several blocks ahead of you and widens slightly with distance.
• Release right-click at any time to stop spraying and conserve pressure.
• While spraying, your action bar displays a live readout: Foam pressure: X / 240.
• An audible hiss plays when you start spraying; a louder extinguish sound plays each time the foam actually puts something out.

What the Foam Extinguishes

Foam Cone Shape

The spray originates from eye level and fans out in a widening cone. Blocks within roughly 1–2 block radius of the spray path are checked for fire; burning entities up to ~6.5 blocks away in the aimed direction are also doused.

Pressure (Durability)

Each burst of spray costs 1 point of pressure. The extinguisher has 240 total pressure points. When pressure runs out the extinguisher can no longer be used. It cannot be refilled — once empty, it is spent.

Progression And Strategy

• Keep one in your hotbar when exploring the Nether or any area with heavy fire hazards — it handles soul fire just as well as normal fire.
• Protect villagers and animals by aiming at burning mobs before they spread fire or perish.
• Campfire and candle management — the extinguisher is a fast alternative to shovels or hand-placing water when you need to quickly snuff multiple light sources.
• Because pressure is finite and the item cannot be repaired or refilled, consider crafting a spare before long expeditions. The recipe is relatively cheap, so stockpiling a few is a reasonable early-game goal.
