Mod Wiki
Creative Vault
Quickstart
- Switch to Creative mode — Creative Vault only works for Creative players.
- Get the Creative Vault (Creative Only) sword item. It is the key item that opens the vault menu — hold or use it to bring up the Creative Vault catalog.
- In the menu, pick a category (Technical Blocks, Hidden Blocks, Operator Utilities, OP Utility Blocks, or Light Blocks) and select an entry to add it straight to your inventory.
- Try the Search Vault button to quickly find an item by typing part of its name (e.g. "barrier", "light", "utility").
- For the custom OP Utility tools (wand, staff, wrench, etc.), you'll also need Operator permission in addition to Creative mode.
Overview
Creative Vault is a catalog and toolkit mod for Creative-mode building and world administration. It gives you an in-game menu to instantly pull hidden vanilla blocks, technical/internal blocks, and normally inaccessible items into your inventory — no commands or inventory hacks required. It also adds a set of custom "OP Utility" tools for teleporting, editing terrain, managing spawners, checking performance, and more, plus a handful of special utility blocks.
What It Adds
The Vault Key
- Creative Vault (Creative Only) — an epic-rarity sword-shaped item that opens the Creative Vault menu when used.
OP Utility Tools (require Creative mode + Operator permission to activate their abilities)
| Item | Purpose |
|---|
| World Editor Wand | Runs quick 3×3×3 area edits (fill, erase, or light placement) at a targeted position |
| Teleport Staff | Teleports you to another player in the same dimension |
| Time & Weather Controller | Adjusts world time and weather |
| Mob Spawner Wrench | Interacts with mob spawners |
| Entity Remover Selector | Selects and removes entities |
| Chunk Border Viewer | Reports the current chunk's coordinate boundaries |
| Lag Checker | Reports server/world performance information |
OP Utility Blocks
| Block | Purpose |
|---|
| Unbreakable Admin Barrier | An indestructible, faintly glowing barrier block for secure builds |
| Debug Info Display | A placeable block showing debug information |
| Structure Importer | A placeable block for importing structures |
Catalog Categories (via the Vault menu)
- Technical & Internal Blocks — barrier, command blocks (all types), structure block/void, jigsaw, allow/deny, border block, camera, invisible bedrock, info update blocks, and other internal-only blocks.
- Hidden & Unobtainable Blocks — double slabs (stone, wood, copper variants), element_0, frog spawn, hard glass and hard glass pane, underwater torch, underwater TNT.
- Operator Utilities — vanilla operator/education items (command block minecart, debug stick, knowledge book, agent spawn egg, balloon, ice bomb) plus all the custom OP Utility tools above.
- OP Utility Blocks — the Admin Barrier, an invisible max-brightness Light Block, the Debug Info Display, and the Structure Importer.
- Light Blocks (all 16 levels) — every light level of the vanilla Light Block, from 0 to 15.
How To Use
- Open the menu: Use the Creative Vault sword item to bring up the main catalog screen.
- Browse categories: Tap a category button to see its list of entries.
- Add an item: Tap any entry in a list to instantly receive it in your inventory; the menu stays open so you can keep adding more.
- Go back: Use the "< Back" button at the bottom of any list to return to the main menu.
- Search: Use "Search Vault" from the main menu and type a keyword to filter all catalog entries by name.
- Use OP Utility tools: Equip a tool (e.g. World Editor Wand, Teleport Staff) and use it while in Creative mode with Operator permission — each opens its own confirmation menu or performs its action immediately.
- The World Editor Wand opens a small menu letting you fill the surrounding 3×3×3 area with stone, clear it to air, or place bright invisible light — centered on your target location.
- The Teleport Staff lists nearby players in your dimension to teleport to.
- The Chunk Border Viewer reports your current chunk's coordinate range directly in chat.
Crafting And Obtaining
Nothing in Creative Vault is crafted through a crafting table. All items and blocks are obtained directly:
- The Creative Vault sword and OP Utility tools appear in the Creative inventory under the Equipment category.
- The OP Utility blocks (Admin Barrier, Debug Info Display, Structure Importer) appear in the Creative inventory under the Construction category.
- Every hidden block, technical block, operator item, and light level is retrieved through the in-game Vault menu rather than by crafting.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Creative-only gating: The Vault menu and all give actions only work while you are in Creative mode. Attempting to use it in Survival or Adventure mode shows a message and does nothing.
- Operator gating: The custom OP Utility tools and blocks (World Editor Wand, Teleport Staff, Time & Weather Controller, Mob Spawner Wrench, Entity Remover Selector, Chunk Border Viewer, Lag Checker, and their block counterparts) additionally require Operator permission to function; otherwise you'll see a permission warning.
- Experiment-dependent content: Some technical or hidden blocks may be unavailable depending on your world's experimental toggles — if an entry can't be given, the menu tells you it isn't currently supported in your world.
- Instant delivery: Selecting a catalog entry adds it straight to your inventory (or runs an equivalent command, such as giving a specific Light Block level) with a confirmation message in chat.
Progression And Strategy
Creative Vault isn't about progression in the survival sense — it's a Creative-mode utility for builders and world operators:
- Use the Technical & Internal Blocks and Hidden & Unobtainable Blocks categories to decorate or prototype with blocks not normally available in the standard Creative inventory.
- Use the Light Blocks category to fine-tune invisible lighting in builds, picking the exact light level you need without redstone or command blocks.
- Use the OP Utility tools when managing or moderating a world — quickly editing terrain, teleporting to players, checking performance, or removing unwanted entities without typing commands.
- Combine the Search feature with the categorized browsing to quickly locate a specific block or tool once you know roughly what it's called.
