Overview
The Corsair Cruiser adds a rideable pirate ship to Bedrock Minecraft. It appears as a large custom 3D model that sits on the water and handles with the feel of a sailing vessel — broad turns, deliberate speed, and a high vantage point for the helmsman. Whether you're exploring ocean biomes or simply cruising coastlines in style, the Corsair Cruiser is your vessel of choice.
What It Adds
| Content | Description |
|---|
| Corsair Cruiser (item) | A placeable item that spawns the ship entity on water. |
| Corsair Cruiser (entity) | A custom 3D pirate-ship model that is rideable and steerable. |
How To Use
Placing the Ship
Hold the Corsair Cruiser item and use it on a water surface. The ship entity will appear at that location. The item is consumed on placement, so craft or keep extras if you need to redeploy.
Boarding
Walk close to the ship and interact with it (right-click on Java-style controls, tap the interact button on touch/controller). Your character will mount the helm seat, elevated above the deck for a commanding view.
Steering
Once aboard, the ship is player-controlled:
- Forward / Back — accelerate or slow down.
- Left / Right — steer the ship's heading.
- The ship navigates over water and can path around obstacles on the surface.
Dismounting
Press Sneak at any time to dismount. You will be placed on top of the ship.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Corsair Cruiser at a crafting table. The recipe is automatically unlocked once you have a Chest, Dark Oak Planks, or Dark Oak Log in your inventory.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Custom 3D model — the ship renders as a full pirate-ship geometry with its own texture, distinct from any vanilla entity.
- Water navigation — the ship is designed for surface water travel and can path over water without sinking.
- High camera perspective — the third-person camera pulls back significantly while you're at the helm, giving a wide view of the surrounding ocean.
- 40 HP durability — the ship has 40 health points and can be damaged, so protect it from hostile mobs or environmental hazards.
- Pushable — the ship can be nudged by other entities or pistons.
- No weapon — the Corsair Cruiser is a purely peaceful transport vessel; its primary action is sailing, not combat.
Progression And Strategy
- Early exploration — craft the Corsair Cruiser as soon as you have Dark Oak wood and a Chest to dramatically speed up ocean and river exploration.
- Safe storage runs — the elevated seat and large collision profile make the ship a visible landmark; park it near your base dock for easy retrieval.
- Mob awareness — the ship has no weapons, so keep an eye on ocean mobs (Drowned, Guardians) when sailing through deep water; dismount and deal with threats before re-boarding.
- Bring spares — the placer item is consumed when you deploy the ship. Craft a backup before long voyages in case the ship is destroyed.
