Copper Golem Frontier
Quickstart
- Make a Copper Ingot from nine Copper Nuggets with .
- Find a wild Copper Golem or craft a spawn egg with eight Copper Ingots and an egg: . Use the egg on a block to spawn the golem.
- Right-click a wild Copper Golem while holding a Copper Ingot to claim it. This consumes one ingot.
- Give your golem copper armor by right-clicking it with an armor piece. Give it time to work: an active, owned golem may produce Copper Ingots and eventually build a village.
- To start a raid, craft a Dioxide Copper Flag and a Dioxide Raid Potion. Wear the flag, then use the potion when you’re ready to fight.
Overview
Raise a frontier with Copper Golems that roam, fight, and periodically bring back copper. Equip them with armor, station them when you want them to stay put, and build a village with a blueprint or through their work. Copper Bandits threaten your ingots, while Dioxide Copper Golems guard a raid outpost.
What It Adds
| Content | What it does |
|---|---|
| Copper Golem | A wandering golem you can claim with a Copper Ingot. It works while owned and active. |
| Copper Bandit | A hostile overworld mob that can steal Copper Ingots from nearby players. |
| Dioxide Copper Golem | A hostile, tougher golem that targets nearby players and guards raids. |
| Copper equipment | Copper tools and armor for players; armor can also be given to your owned golem. |
| Frontier items | A village blueprint, Dioxide Copper Flag, and Dioxide Raid Potion. |
| Copper Bed and Copper Bell | Placeable copper-themed blocks. |
How To Use
Claim and manage a Copper Golem
Right-click an unclaimed Copper Golem with a Copper Ingot to make it yours. Once owned, right-click it with a Copper Ingot again to toggle between stationed and frontier work. The ingot is not consumed by this toggle.
Right-click an owned golem with a Copper Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, or Boots to equip that armor piece. The golem takes one piece from your hand.
A right-click with another non-empty item stores one item in the golem’s work inventory, which holds up to nine items. There is no documented way to retrieve stored items, so avoid handing it anything you want to keep.
Build a village
Use a Copper Village Blueprint to queue a village at your position; the blueprint is consumed. An owned, active Copper Golem can also build a village as it works.
Deal with bandits
Copper Bandits spawn in the Overworld. They may steal one Copper Ingot when they get close to you. Wearing a Dioxide Copper Flag prevents them from attacking or stealing from you. While wearing the flag, right-click a bandit with a Copper Ingot to trade it for an Emerald.
Use the Dioxide Copper Flag while your head slot is empty to wear it.
Start a Dioxide raid
Use a Dioxide Raid Potion to start a raid. Five Dioxide Copper Golems attack, and an outpost appears nearby. Defeat the guardians to win; nearby unclaimed Copper Golems in the raid area join your team. Only one raid can be active at a time, and using a potion during an active raid still consumes it.
Crafting And Obtaining
Copper Golems and Copper Bandits can spawn naturally in the Overworld. You can also craft a Copper Golem Spawn Egg. The other spawn eggs are available in Creative Mode.

Abilities And Mechanics
- Copper Golem work: While owned and not stationed, a golem completes a work cycle about every 12 seconds. Its mining is abstract: it does not break blocks, but each cycle has a one-in-four chance to drop a Copper Ingot. After three work cycles, it builds a village.
- Dioxide Copper Golems: Raid guardians have 45 health and deal 9 attack damage. When they die, each drops a Dioxide Copper Flag and a Dioxide Raid Potion.
- Bandit protection and trade: Wearing the flag both protects you from Copper Bandit attacks and theft and enables the Emerald trade.
Progression And Strategy
Claim a Copper Golem early and leave it active to build up a chance of earning ingots and to start its village growth. Equip armor before taking it into danger. Keep a Dioxide Copper Flag handy when carrying copper, and prepare for a tough fight before using a raid potion.
