Command Devourer

Quickstart

1. Open your Creative inventory and search for Command Devourer to find its spawn egg.
2. Use the spawn egg on any block to summon the Command Devourer — a massive, empowered Wither boss.
3. Stay alert: the moment it notices you, it will start pulling you and other nearby creatures toward it.
4. Keep your distance or fight from range early on, since getting dragged in close is extremely dangerous.
5. If it kills something, it grows larger and tougher — try to avoid feeding it easy kills like passive mobs.

Overview

The Command Devourer is a boss-tier hostile mob built on the classic Wither, but far more aggressive and dangerous. It doesn't just float and shoot skulls — it actively drags nearby players and mobs toward its body and consumes anything that gets too close. Every kill makes it physically larger and implicitly more threatening, turning a fight against it into an escalating survival challenge.

It is summoned only through its spawn egg, found in the Spawn Eggs section of the Creative inventory. There is no natural spawning or crafting recipe for this boss — you bring it into the world intentionally.

What It Adds

• Command Devourer — a hostile boss mob resembling a corrupted Wither.
• Command Devourer Spawn Egg — a Creative-mode item used to summon it.

How To Use

• Summoning: Use the spawn egg on a block or in open space to spawn the Command Devourer. It behaves like a mob spawn egg — right-click/use it on the ground to place the boss.
• Engaging it: Once active, the Command Devourer flies and attacks like a Wither, but has a much larger pull range. Anything alive within roughly 18 blocks — players, mobs, animals — gets steadily dragged toward its core, with the pull getting stronger the closer you get.
• The devour effect: If a living creature gets within point-blank range of the boss's core, it takes a massive burst of damage almost guaranteed to kill anything that isn't heavily protected.
• Growth mechanic: Each time the Command Devourer successfully kills something nearby, it grows in size, up to three times its starting scale. A larger Command Devourer is a clear visual warning that it has been feeding and is likely to hit harder and control more space.
• Fire immunity: The Command Devourer cannot be harmed by fire or lava, so don't rely on burning it down.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no crafting recipes for this mod's content. The only way to obtain the Command Devourer is:

• Locate its spawn egg in Creative mode inventory under Spawn Eggs, then use it to place the boss in the world.

Progression And Strategy

• Don't let it feed: The growth mechanic means every kill it scores — even on a chicken or zombie caught in its pull — makes the fight harder. Try to clear weaker mobs away from the area before engaging, or lure the boss away from crowds.
• Fight at range: Because the pull effect constantly drags you closer, ranged weapons, mobility tools (elytra, ender pearls), and terrain that lets you break line of sight are valuable for avoiding the devour strike.
• Watch its size: A visibly larger Command Devourer has fed on kills and become stronger — treat size increases as an escalating difficulty signal.
• Bring backup: With its high health pool and heavy attack damage, this boss is intended as a serious end-game-style encounter, best approached prepared with strong gear, potions, and possibly allies.
