Quickstart

1. Craft a Coin Block using the recipe below and place it anywhere in the world.
2. Walk into or near the block — it auto-collects into your inventory as a coin item, plays a chime sound, and bursts into golden sparkles.
3. Because Coin Blocks have no collision, you can run straight through them without slowing down.

Overview

Coin Block brings a Super Mario-style coin experience to Minecraft. Glowing, shimmering gold blocks float in the world with no collision — the moment a player gets close enough, the block is automatically collected, rewarding them with a coin item, a satisfying chime, and a burst of golden particles.

What It Adds

How To Use

Placing Coin Blocks Place Coin Blocks anywhere — in a course, platforming challenge, treasure hunt, or adventure map. Because they emit a soft glow and have no collision, they blend naturally into open spaces and corridors without blocking movement.

Collecting Coins Simply walk through or near a placed Coin Block. Collection is fully automatic:

• The block disappears from the world.
• A coin item is added to your inventory.
• A chime sound plays at the collection point.
• Golden sparkle particles burst outward.

No right-clicking, no tools, no breaking — just run through it.

Crafting And Obtaining

Coin Blocks are craftable from gold ingots and a gold nugget. The recipe is unlocked as soon as you join a world.

The resulting Coin Block item stacks up to 64 and can be found in the Functional Blocks creative inventory tab.

Abilities And Mechanics

• No collision — players and mobs pass through Coin Blocks freely.
• Glowing — emits a light level of 7, making them visible in dim environments.
• Proximity auto-collect — no interaction required; getting close triggers collection automatically.
• Facing-aware placement — the block faces toward you when placed, keeping its appearance consistent.

Progression And Strategy

• Adventure maps & parkour courses — scatter Coin Blocks along a route to reward players for reaching checkpoints or completing sections.
• Treasure hunts — hide Coin Blocks in hard-to-reach spots as collectible prizes.
• Score challenges — place a large number of Coin Blocks across an arena and race other players to collect the most coins before time runs out.
• Decoration — their soft glow and gold shimmer make them useful as ambient lighting accents with a reward theme.
