Quickstart

1. Open your Creative inventory and search for Coconut to find its spawn egg, or grab one from the Spawn Eggs group.
2. Use the spawn egg on any block to summon a Coconut.
3. Watch out — it will immediately take to the air and start hunting the nearest living creature, including you.
4. You can also encounter Coconuts naturally while exploring the Overworld; they spawn on their own in the wild.
5. Fight it in melee or lure it into water/lava, since it has no ranged attack of its own — it relies purely on chasing you down.

Overview

Coconut is a hostile flying variant of the creeper. Instead of shuffling along the ground and exploding, it howls like a wolf, soars through the air on iron-colored, gold-winged plating, and relentlessly chases down any living creature it spots. It's tougher and hits harder than a normal creeper, making it a genuine airborne threat rather than a simple ambient mob.

What It Adds

• Coconut — a flying hostile mob that behaves like an aggressive aerial predator.
• Coconut Spawn Egg — lets you summon Coconut anywhere, found in the Spawn Eggs creative tab.
• Natural Overworld spawning alongside other creatures, so you may run into one without summoning it yourself.

How To Use

• Summoning: Use the Coconut spawn egg on a block or entity to spawn one at that location.
• Combat: Coconut does not explode like a normal creeper — it engages in direct melee combat, closing distance quickly through the air.
• Sound cues: Listen for wolf-like howls, growls, and footsteps; Coconut uses wolf sounds instead of typical creeper hissing, which helps you identify it before you see it.
• Movement: It hovers and bobs gently in the air, flying toward and above its target, adjusting its height to line up with whatever it's chasing.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Flight: Coconut ignores gravity and flies freely in three dimensions, closing in on targets from any angle, including from above.
• Relentless hunting: It actively targets nearby living entities (other Coconuts excluded) and will chase persistently rather than wandering.
• Melee attacker: Rather than exploding on approach like a standard creeper, Coconut attacks directly with strong melee damage.
• Enhanced stats: Compared to an ordinary creeper, Coconut has much higher health, greater attack damage, faster movement, and a longer detection/follow range, making it a serious mid-to-late game threat.
• Water safety: Like most mobs, it can be lured into water to slow it, though its flight lets it recover its approach quickly once airborne again.

Progression And Strategy

• Coconut is best fought with good armor and a strong weapon, given its high health and damage output.
• Because it flies and tracks targets from long range, retreating to enclosed spaces or overhangs can help you break line of sight and escape or fight on your terms.
• Its wolf-like sounds are a useful early warning — if you hear howling with no wolves around, a Coconut is likely closing in.
• Defeating one rewards a solid chunk of experience, making it worthwhile to engage rather than flee if you're prepared for melee combat.
