Quickstart
- Open your creative inventory and search for the Coconut Jr Spawn Egg.
- Use the egg on any block or in the air to spawn Coconut Jr.
- Stay alert — Coconut Jr flies straight at nearby creatures (including you) and attacks on sight.
- Fight it or watch it hunt nearby mobs, then collect its drops once it's defeated.
You can also find Coconut Jr spawning naturally in the Nether and in jungle biomes, so keep an eye on the skies if you're exploring those areas.
Overview
Coconut Jr is a hostile flying creature that combines the look of a panda with the aggressive nature of a ghast. It hovers and drifts through the air, hunting down any creature it can see — players, animals, and other mobs alike. It doesn't discriminate between targets, making it a chaotic threat wherever it appears.
What It Adds

How To Use
- Spawning it yourself: Use the Coconut Jr Spawn Egg from your creative inventory on any surface or while looking into open air.
- Interacting with it: Coconut Jr can be named using a name tag like most mobs. Right-clicking/interacting with it doesn't tame or feed it — it remains hostile.
- Combat: Coconut Jr flies toward the nearest visible target within a fairly wide range and attacks with a strong melee strike. It doesn't take fall damage and floats freely, ignoring gravity, so it can chase targets over water, lava, and cliffs.
- Avoiding it: Since it hunts anything it can see, staying out of its line of sight or retreating indoors can help you avoid a fight.
Crafting And Obtaining
Coconut Jr has no crafting recipes — it is obtained only through its spawn egg or by encountering it in the wild.

Coconut Jr only spawns in mid-air, in dark enough spaces, and on higher difficulty settings.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Flight: Coconut Jr flies freely through the air, unaffected by gravity, and cannot take fall damage.
- Aggression: It actively seeks out and attacks any creature within a 32-block radius that it can see, excluding others of its own kind.
- Combat stats: Deals solid melee damage and has a large health pool, making it a tough mid-tier threat.
- Scale: It's noticeably larger than a normal panda, giving it an imposing presence in the sky.
Progression And Strategy
Coconut Jr works well as a roaming aerial threat to add tension while exploring the Nether or jungle biomes. Because it attacks everything indiscriminately, it can end up fighting other mobs before it ever reaches you — watch for chaos breaking out among nearby creatures.
Defeating Coconut Jr rewards you with bamboo and gunpowder, with a chance for bones and a rare chance at a ghast tear, useful for brewing. Consider fighting it from range or luring it into a favorable position, since its flight and speed make melee engagements risky in the open air.
