Quickstart

1. Gather coal blocks, blaze powder, and fire charges.
2. Craft all four armor pieces using the recipes below.
3. Equip the full set (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) at the same time.
4. Watch your max health jump to 400 hearts and start dealing fiery blows to anything you hit — just be ready to move a little slower while wearing it.

Overview

Coalfire Colossus Armor turns humble coal into a set of colossal, glowing armor. It trades mobility for raw power: enormous health, heavy protection, and the ability to set enemies ablaze with every attack — but only while the entire set is worn together.

All four pieces have an enchanted glowing appearance and use netherite-tier equip sounds. Together they form a complete armor set found in the Combat tab of the Creative inventory.

Crafting And Obtaining

Each piece is crafted at a crafting table using coal blocks as the core material, with blaze powder or fire charges reinforcing key pieces.

Helmet — coal blocks framing blaze powder:

Chestplate — a thick shell of coal blocks around blaze powder:

Leggings — a full ring of coal blocks:

Boots — fire charges paired with coal blocks:

When you first join a world with this mod active, the crafting recipes for all four pieces are automatically unlocked for you.

Abilities And Mechanics

Massive armor value: The full set provides very heavy physical protection — 100 armor points across all pieces (50 armor bars), along with high armor toughness and knockback resistance, making the wearer extremely hard to hurt or push around.

400-Heart Set Bonus: Wearing all four pieces at once grants a colossal boost to maximum health — enough to raise your total health pool to 400 hearts (800 health points). The bonus is applied instantly when the last piece goes on, topping off your health, and disappears immediately if any piece is removed or swapped out, safely capping your health back down.

Fiery Blows: While wearing the complete set, any creature you strike in combat catches fire for several seconds, accompanied by a fire-charge sound effect. This works on any target you damage directly, but not against yourself.

Slowed By Your Own Power: As a tradeoff for its enormous strength, the full set continuously applies a mild Slowness effect to the wearer. This is a constant weight of the armor's power, not a temporary side effect from combat — it persists for as long as all four pieces stay equipped.

Repairing: These armor pieces can be repaired using coal.

Progression And Strategy

This set is meant to be an end-tier, all-or-nothing choice: it excels at tanking hits and setting enemies on fire, making it strong for absorbing sustained damage and punishing melee attackers who get close. Its major downside is reduced movement speed, so it favors defensive, stand-and-fight playstyles over hit-and-run tactics. Removing even one piece instantly strips away both the health bonus and the fire effect, so commit to the full set before heading into a fight where you plan to rely on it.
