Clear And Add Blocks

Quickstart

1. Open the Construction section of the Creative inventory.
2. Pick a Clear block:
   • Wooden Clear Block (C) — clears a 5×5 area, 5 blocks high.
   • Stone Clear Block (C) — clears a 21×21 area, 10 blocks high.
   • Diamond Clear Block (C) — clears a 61×61 area, 30 blocks high.
3. Place the block where you want the clearing area to begin.
4. The block activates automatically and replaces the area at its level and above with air. The placed Clear block is removed as part of the clearing.

There are no crafting recipes. In worlds with commands enabled, you can obtain the blocks with:

Overview

Clear And Add Blocks provides three place-to-activate blocks for rapidly removing large vertical sections of terrain. Each block clears a centered rectangular column upward from its placement position.

The clearing action happens automatically when the block is placed. No redstone, tool, or additional interaction is required.

What It Adds

Each area is centered on the placed block. The block’s placement level is the lowest layer of the clearing area, so blocks below it are not affected.

How To Use

1. Select a Clear block.
2. Stand at the level where the bottom of the cleared space should be.
3. Place the block.
4. Move clear of the area and inspect the opening.

The block activates as soon as it is placed and is consumed by the clearing effect. Place another one if you need to extend or reshape the cleared area.

For precise placement, aim at the block or surface that should define the bottom and center of the opening. The larger blocks can remove structures, terrain, and other blocks throughout their full clearing area, so use them away from anything you want to keep.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Clear blocks remove blocks by replacing them with air.
• The clearing area extends upward from the placement level.
• Blocks below the placement level remain untouched.
• The clearing area is centered on the Clear block.
• The Wooden Clear Block clears 2 blocks to each side horizontally and 5 layers upward.
• The Stone Clear Block clears 10 blocks to each side horizontally and 10 layers upward.
• The Diamond Clear Block clears 30 blocks to each side horizontally and 30 layers upward.
• The placed Clear block is removed when it activates.
• The blocks do not produce a normal mining drop from the blocks they clear.
• Clear blocks can also be mined normally before activation: use an axe for the Wooden Clear Block and a pickaxe for the Stone and Diamond Clear Blocks.

Clear blocks have no crafting recipes. Obtain them from the Construction category in the Creative inventory, or use their commands:

Progression And Strategy

Start with the Wooden Clear Block when learning how placement and area size work. Use it for small passages, short shafts, or controlled openings.

The Stone Clear Block is useful for clearing a medium room or flattening a section of terrain. Mark the intended area before placing it, since the effect covers a broad square.

Reserve the Diamond Clear Block for large-scale excavation. Check the full 61×61 area and 30-block height before activation, and keep valuable builds, redstone, storage, and other structures outside that volume.
