Chronos Fracture

Quickstart

1. Craft the Chronos Fracture sword using the recipe below and hold it in your main hand.
2. Notice the immediate passive effects: Speed I at all times and full immunity to Slowness, plus a rhythmic ticking sound and golden particle trails.
3. Try the three right-click abilities right away:
   • Right-click → Rewind (marks your position, then snaps you back after 2.5 s)
   • Sneak + Right-click → Temporal Stasis (freeze a mob in your sights)
   • Sprint + Right-click → Time Dilation (unleash a powerful time-warping field)

Overview

The Chronos Fracture is a golden-brass sword imbued with temporal power. Simply carrying it warps time around you — you move faster, shrug off slowness, and trail shimmering golden particles with every step. Beyond its combat stats, it holds three distinct time-bending abilities, each on its own independent cooldown, making it one of the most versatile weapons available.

What It Adds

• Durability: 2,500
• Attack Damage: High (comparable to a diamond sword, with a golden-brass material bonus)
• Enchantability: 22 — accepts enchantments readily and can be repaired with Gold Ingots

Abilities And Mechanics

Passive: Time Presence

Whenever the Chronos Fracture is held, you automatically receive:

• Speed I — permanent, no action required
• Slowness immunity — any source of Slowness is completely negated
• Ambient ticking sound and golden particle trails for visual flair

Ability 1 — Rewind (Right-click)

Use Rewind to make a risky play, then let time pull you back to safety. Great for diving into a mob group or testing dangerous terrain — if things go wrong, you snap right back to where you were, with the health and hunger you had when you activated it.

Ability 2 — Temporal Stasis (Sneak + Right-click)

Aim at a mob, then sneak and right-click to launch an invisible time beam. The first mob it strikes is locked in place for 4 seconds — perfect for stopping a charging enemy, buying time to heal, or setting up a safe attack.

Ability 3 — Time Dilation (Sprint + Right-click)

Sprint and right-click to detonate a temporal shockwave. For 6 seconds, everything nearby is dramatically slowed while you move and mine at blistering speed. Ideal for clearing groups of mobs or escaping dangerous situations.

Independent Cooldowns

Each of the three abilities has its own separate cooldown. Using Rewind does not prevent you from immediately using Temporal Stasis or Time Dilation. If you attempt an ability while it is still on cooldown, a message will display the exact remaining cooldown time for that specific ability.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Craft the Chronos Fracture as soon as you have Gold Ingots, Clocks, and a Blaze Rod. The high enchantability (22) makes it an excellent candidate for enchanting early.
• Combat opener: Start fights with Time Dilation (sprint + right-click) to slow all nearby enemies, then use Temporal Stasis to lock down the most dangerous target.
• Escape tool: Keep Rewind available as a safety net — activate it before jumping into danger so you have a guaranteed fallback position 2.5 seconds later.
• Cooldown management: Because all three cooldowns are independent, you can chain abilities in rapid succession. Plan your rotation around the 12 s / 18 s / 50 s windows.
• Repairs: The Chronos Fracture is repaired with Gold Ingots on an anvil, keeping maintenance costs low throughout the game.
