Description

The Chaos Emerald is a multifunctional item that grants two activated abilities: Chaos Control on normal right-click and Chaos Blast on sneak + right-click. Chaos Blast is a chargeable, area-of-effect attack—you gain one blast charge for every 10 hostile mob kills (up to three), with progress and remaining charges shown on the action bar; sneak + right-click consumes a charge and after a 40-tick (2-second) windup during which you glow and emit a red aura, a blast up to about 35 blocks strikes, killing hostiles and certain passive mobs, spawning explosion particles, and clearing non-air blocks above the protected floor while avoiding the player and skipping very high blast-resistance blocks (kills from the blast do not refill charges). Normal right-click triggers Chaos Control, a short time-control style burst centered on you that grants buffs, plays the chaos sound, spawns particles and uses a cooldown; the emerald’s tooltip lists both Right-click: Chaos Control and Sneak + Right-click: Chaos Blast for quick reference.
