Campfire Souls And Nightmares
Quickstart
- In Creative, search the inventory for Soul Bunny, Traveler, Scorpion Head, Pink Wolf, or Nightmare Spawn Egg. Use an egg on the ground to spawn that mob.
- Try a Soul Bunny and a Traveler together: the bunny fights monsters by day, and at night the Traveler may place a campfire nearby for them to sleep beside.
- Use a bone on a Pink Wolf to tame it. Keep your distance from Scorpion Heads and Nightmares—they are dangerous.
- For a surprise, sleep at night: there is a chance a Nightmare will appear.
Overview
This mod combines campfire-side nighttime behavior with hostile creatures and unusual wildlife. Its mobs have custom sounds and animations, and their behaviors create encounters to watch—or survive.
What It Adds
| Mob | What to expect |

| Soul Bunny | A blue-and-green bunny with long ears and pink teeth. It fights monsters during the day and sleeps by a campfire at night. If it cannot find one, it sleeps wherever it is. |
| Traveler | Often found around villages. At night, Travelers seek Soul Bunnies, place campfires, and sleep near them. They also throw fire at Scorpion Heads. |
| Scorpion Head | Sleeps during the day and hunts its targets. Travelers may set it alight with fire, leaving its body burning. |
| Pink Wolf | Hunts sheep, chickens, and cows. After eating two prey, it stops hunting for the day. It can also attack players and Travelers; tame one with a bone. |
| Nightmare | A towering, six-legged creature with long fingers and mismatched features. It may appear when you sleep at night, and attacks anything it can reach. |
The Creative spawn-egg catalog also names Traveler Wolf, Golden Armadillo, Tieman, Friendly Scorpion, Explorer, Handily, Singily, Jester, Ant, and Hunter.
How To Use
- Watch the campfire routine: Leave a Soul Bunny and Traveler together overnight to see how they respond to campfires.
- Look out after dark: Scorpion Heads are hostile nighttime threats. Travelers may fight them with fire.
- Tame a Pink Wolf: Hold a bone and use it on the wolf. Its hunting behavior makes it a risky companion around livestock, players, and Travelers.
- Encounter a Nightmare: Sleep at night for a chance of an encounter, or spawn one with its egg in Creative.
Crafting And Obtaining
Golden Armadillos drop Golden Scutes. Use them to craft Golden Wolf Armor:
Use Purple Lightning Fragments and sticks to craft the Axe of Tieman:
The Nightmare may drop an Ender Pearl, and a defeated Scorpion Head may drop string or a spider eye. A Friendly Scorpion may drop a Friendly Scorpion Egg.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Soul Bunnies fight monsters during the day, then seek a campfire to sleep beside at night. Without one nearby, they sleep where they are.
- Travelers look for Soul Bunnies at night, place campfires, and sleep nearby. They can also throw fire at Scorpion Heads.
- Scorpion Heads sleep during the day, then pursue targets. Give them space, especially after dark.
- Pink Wolves hunt sheep, chickens, and cows; after eating two, they stop hunting for the rest of the day. They can also kill players and Travelers.
- Nightmares can appear when you sleep at night. Their reach and hostile behavior make them dangerous to approach.
