Quickstart

Craft a Personal Bastion Core at a crafting table:

Use it once, then keep it in your main hand or offhand. It grants Resistance and maintains a visible bubble around you while held.

For the full bastion effect, craft and equip all four armor pieces. To protect an ally too, craft an Ally Focus, hold it, and use it while looking at a player or tamed pet within 24 blocks. Keep that ally within 4 blocks of you to shield them.

Overview

Bubble Bastion is a wearable defensive set with two support items. The Personal Bastion Core gives its holder protection; the complete armor set automatically shields its wearer and knocks nearby living non-player entities away. With the full set and an Ally Focus in hand, you can also shield one selected ally.

How To Use

• Personal Bastion Core: Use the item for a brief Resistance boost. Keep it in either hand to continuously refresh the protection.
• Armor set: Equip all four Bubble Bastion pieces. The set continuously grants the wearer Resistance, displays a bubble, and knocks back nearby living non-player entities. It does not repel other players.
• Ally Focus: With the complete armor set equipped, use the Focus while looking at a player or tamed pet within 24 blocks. Keep the Focus in either hand and stay within 4 blocks of the selected ally for their Resistance and bubble to remain active. Use it on another eligible target to select a different ally.

Crafting And Obtaining

All recipes below are made at a crafting table. The armor recipes require an Ally Focus for the chestplate and leggings, and a Personal Bastion Core for the helmet and boots.

Ally Focus — glass, an ender pearl, prismarine shards, and prismarine crystals.

Bubble Bastion Helmet — glass, prismarine shards, and a Personal Bastion Core.

Bubble Bastion Chestplate — prismarine shards and an Ally Focus.

Bubble Bastion Leggings — prismarine shards and an Ally Focus.

Bubble Bastion Boots — prismarine crystals and a Personal Bastion Core.

To shield an ally while wearing the set, you’ll need an additional Ally Focus to hold: one is consumed in each of the chestplate and leggings recipes.

Abilities And Mechanics

The full armor set and the Personal Bastion Core both grant Resistance while active. The Core must be held; the armor works while all four pieces are equipped. The Ally Focus only protects its selected target while you have the full set equipped, keep the Focus in hand, and remain close to that ally.

Start with the Personal Bastion Core for personal protection, then craft the Ally Focus and build the full armor set. Keep the Focus handy when traveling with another player or a tamed pet; staying close together lets the set shield both you and your selected ally.
