Blockwing Pilots

Quickstart

1. Craft a Pilot Plane, or take one from the Blockwing Pilots creative inventory tab.
2. Hold the plane and right-click a block to place it on the block’s side.
3. Right-click the placed plane to board. Press W to throttle up and start the engine; press S to slow down. Aim where you want to steer.
4. Press G to retract or extend the landing gear. Press Shift to dismount.

Your view switches to third-person while flying and returns to its previous perspective when you dismount.

Overview

Blockwing Pilots lets you craft, board, and fly three propeller-plane models. While aboard, an on-screen readout shows your speed, engine state, altitude, and landing-gear position.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Throttle: Hold W to build speed. S reduces speed more quickly. The plane stays still at zero throttle; it does not creep forward with the engine off.
• Steering: Aim to direct the plane.
• Landing gear: Press G to toggle between extended and retracted. The readout shows the current state.
• Dismount: Press Shift.

The plane displays its speed in km/h and altitude in metres while you are riding.

Crafting And Obtaining

Each plane is crafted in a crafting table. The recipes use the same shape, with different materials for each model.

Pilot Plane: 5 iron ingots, 1 glass pane, 2 leather, and 1 redstone.

Swiftwing Plane: 5 gold ingots, 1 glass pane, 2 leather, and 1 diamond.

Sky Courier: 5 iron ingots, 1 glass pane, 2 leather, and 1 copper ingot.

Abilities And Mechanics

Throttle controls the engine and forward speed; the plane stops when its throttle reaches zero. While flying, the readout reports Engine ON or OFF, your speed, altitude, and gear position. The landing gear is also reflected in the plane’s appearance.

Progression And Strategy

Start with the Pilot Plane for balanced flight. Choose the Swiftwing when you want the highest speed and quicker throttle response, or the Sky Courier for a steadier utility ride.
