Blockshot Blaster

Quickstart

1. Obtain a Blockshot Blaster by crafting at a crafting table, or select it from the Equipment section of the Creative inventory.
2. Equip it in your hand.
3. Aim in the direction you want to fire.
4. Press and hold the usual use item control. The blaster immediately launches a fast snowball projectile.
5. Keep aiming and firing to attack targets or practice your aim. It can fire again after a brief cooldown of 0.25 seconds.

The Blockshot Blaster does not stack and has 36 durability, so repeated use eventually wears it out.

Overview

The Blockshot Blaster is a handheld ranged weapon that launches snowballs in the direction you are looking. It is lightweight to use, fires immediately, and does not require ammunition or a drawn charge.

What It Adds

How To Use

Hold the Blockshot Blaster and use it like any other handheld item:

• Aim: Look toward your target before firing.
• Fire: Press the use item button.
• Rapid fire: Use it again after the brief 0.25-second cooldown.
• Movement: You can move normally while using the blaster.
• Range: The projectile travels along your view direction, so aim above distant targets as needed.

Each use launches a snowball from in front of you, preventing it from immediately colliding with the shooter. The blaster has no charge-up period, so tapping the use button fires immediately.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Blockshot Blaster at a crafting table:

The recipe requires:

• Iron ingots
• Redstone
• A bow
• A stick

The recipe becomes available after an iron ingot has been obtained. In Creative mode, the item is available in the Equipment category.

For command-based worlds, you can obtain it with:

Abilities And Mechanics

Snowball Blasts

The blaster launches a standard snowball projectile with strong forward momentum. It follows the direction you are looking and can be used against targets or for general projectile practice.

The Blockshot Blaster does not use arrows or another separate ammunition item.

Firing Speed

The use action lasts 0.25 seconds and the blaster has a 0.25-second cooldown. It can therefore be fired repeatedly at a rapid pace.

Durability

The blaster has a maximum durability of 36. Its durability can decrease during use, and it cannot be stacked with other Blockshot Blasters.

Progression And Strategy

• Gather iron, redstone, a bow, and a stick before crafting your first blaster.
• Use open areas for practice so you can track the snowball’s flight.
• Aim carefully at moving targets; the projectile travels in the direction you are facing when fired.
• Fire in short bursts when conserving durability matters.
• Carry a spare blaster for longer expeditions or extended combat practice.
