Blockbound Express

Quickstart

1. Craft the Blockbound Express with iron, a furnace, rails, a minecart, and a note block:

1. Place it on a clear patch of ground. The train assembles around the placed block.
2. Right-click any part of the assembled train to board. Use WASD to move: W goes forward, S reverses, and A/D move sideways. Look in the direction you want to travel.
3. Press your sprint control to dismount. The train stays where you left it and can be boarded again.

Overview

Blockbound Express is a rideable train for travelling directly across the ground. It does not need rails. While you ride, the view switches to third-person and a small display shows your speed, heading, and altitude.

What It Adds

• A placeable train item that assembles into a larger train structure.
• A rideable vehicle with direct movement controls.
• A “choo-choo” sound that plays periodically while the train is moving.

How To Use

Place the item where there is room for the assembled train. Right-click any part of the structure to turn it into a rideable vehicle and board it; the placed structure disappears as you set off.

Use WASD to move relative to your facing direction. Mouse-look changes your heading. The on-screen SPD, HDG, and ALT indicators show speed, heading, and altitude. Press the sprint control to dismount; the train remains in the world for another ride.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe becomes available after you join a world. You can also find the Blockbound Express item in the Creative inventory. Damage the rideable vehicle to remove it and make it drop the train item.

Abilities And Mechanics

The train moves without tracks and is affected by gravity, so it can fall if it leaves the ground. When no one is riding, its movement slows down. The rider is hidden while aboard, and your previous camera view returns when you dismount.
