Mod Wiki
Big Stone Sword
Quickstart
- Collect 9 Stone Swords — craft them normally or find them in your inventory.
- Open a Crafting Table and fill all 9 slots with Stone Swords.
- Take the Big Stone Sword from the output slot.
- Equip it in your hand and start swinging — each hit deals 50 damage, enough to one-shot most mobs.
Overview
The Big Stone Sword is a single, powerful weapon that turns a surplus of ordinary Stone Swords into one devastating melee tool. It hits far harder than any vanilla weapon and comes with enough durability to last through extended combat.
What It Adds
| Item | Damage | Durability | Rarity |
|---|
| Big Stone Sword | 50 per hit | 1,200 | Uncommon |
Abilities And Mechanics
- 50 Damage Per Hit — each successful melee strike deals a flat 50 damage to the target, regardless of armor or mob tier. This is roughly 25 hearts, enough to instantly kill most enemies in the game.
- High Durability — 1,200 uses before the sword breaks, giving it roughly four times the lifespan of a standard Stone Sword.
- Enchantable — the Big Stone Sword can be enchanted using an Enchanting Table or Anvil in the sword enchantment slot, accepting all standard sword enchantments such as Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, and Knockback.
- Repairable — repair it at an Anvil using regular Stone Swords. Each Stone Sword restores a portion of its durability, so keeping spares on hand lets you maintain the weapon indefinitely.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Big Stone Sword is crafted at a Crafting Table using a full 3×3 grid of Stone Swords — no other source exists, so you'll need to stockpile stone and sticks before crafting one.
(Recipe shortcode shown once above in Quickstart; reference either instance.)
Progression And Strategy
- Early power spike — Stone Swords are cheap to mass-produce, so the Big Stone Sword is accessible as soon as you have a steady supply of cobblestone. Rushing it early gives you a massive combat advantage.
- Boss and mob farm use — the 50-damage threshold one-shots most standard mobs and deals serious damage to bosses, making it excellent for clearing dungeons or Nether fortresses quickly.
- Keep spare Stone Swords — since each Stone Sword repairs a fixed amount of durability, carrying a few in your hotbar means you can top up the weapon at an Anvil without going back to base.
- Stack enchantments — applying Looting III significantly improves loot drops while you already have the combat power to clear mobs with ease. Fire Aspect adds bonus fire damage on top of the base 50, making it even more lethal.
