Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, open the spawn-egg section and find:
   • Bamboo Guardian Spawn Egg
   • Cotton Candy Cloud Spawn Egg
   • Anti Hero Spawn Egg
2. Spawn a Bamboo Guardian and hold bamboo.
3. Interact with the panda while holding bamboo. Each attempt has a chance to tame it.
4. Once tamed, the Bamboo Guardian follows you and attacks creatures that attack you or your targets.
5. Try the other spawn eggs to discover the Cotton Candy Cloud flying mount and the village-defending Anti Hero.

You can also summon the entities with commands:

Overview

The Big Midde And Little Ideas adds three entities:

• Bamboo Guardian — a bamboo-loving panda that can be tamed as a combat companion.
• Cotton Candy Cloud — a flying creature that becomes a multi-passenger mount when equipped with a harness.
• Anti Hero — a village-dwelling defender that fights monsters and illagers and can trade like a villager.

What It Adds

How To Use

Bamboo Guardian

Find Bamboo Guardians on the surface of jungle and bamboo biomes. They spawn on grass during daylight, usually in groups of one or two.

To tame one:

1. Hold bamboo.
2. Interact with an untamed Bamboo Guardian.
3. Continue trying until the taming succeeds.

A tamed Bamboo Guardian:

• Follows its owner and can teleport when it gets far away.
• Defends its owner when the owner is attacked.
• Attacks targets attacked by its owner.
• Deals 4 damage with its tamed attack.
• Can be healed with bamboo, restoring 4 health per use.
• Begs for bamboo when you come within range.
• Can be named with a name tag.

Cotton Candy Cloud

Spawn a Cotton Candy Cloud and use a harness on an adult cloud. The cloud accepts harnesses of every color.

After harnessing it:

1. Interact with the cloud to mount it.
2. Use normal movement controls to steer through the air.
3. Up to four players can ride at once.
4. Use shears while not sneaking and while nobody is riding to remove the harness.

Cotton Candy Clouds float naturally and do not take fall damage. They can be leashed, and they are attracted to snowballs. Baby clouds can be fed snowballs and grow into adults.

Anti Hero

Anti Heroes can appear around villages on grass, sand, snow, or podzol during daylight. They usually spawn in groups of one or two.

Interact with an Anti Hero to open its trading interface. Its profession determines the trades it offers. Anti Heroes can work, follow village schedules, and use village points of interest.

An Anti Hero attacks nearby monsters and illagers, dealing 6 damage per attack. Protect it from hostile mobs, zombies, and lightning while it is defending the village.

Crafting And Obtaining

The mod does not add crafting recipes for its entities. Use the spawn eggs in Creative mode or summon them directly.

Bamboo Guardians and Anti Heroes can also spawn naturally:

• Bamboo Guardian: jungle and bamboo biomes, on grass, in daylight.
• Anti Hero: village areas, on grass, sand, snow, or podzol, in daylight.
• Cotton Candy Cloud: spawn it with its Creative spawn egg or a summon command.

Bamboo Guardians drop 1–2 bamboo when they die. Looting can increase the amount dropped.

Abilities And Mechanics

Taming And Combat

Only Bamboo Guardians can be tamed. Bamboo is both their favorite food and their taming item. Taming succeeds with a 33% chance on each bamboo interaction.

Tamed Bamboo Guardians use owner-based targeting: they defend you when you are hurt and help attack enemies you attack. Their normal health is 20.

Growth And Breeding

Bamboo Guardians can grow from babies into adults. Feed baby Bamboo Guardians bamboo to help them grow.

Adult Bamboo Guardians can breed with bamboo when at least eight bamboo blocks are nearby within a small area. The parents do not need to be tamed. Baby Bamboo Guardians inherit the Bamboo Guardian type.

Cotton Candy Cloud Harnesses

A harness changes an adult Cotton Candy Cloud into a rideable flying mount. The cloud has four passenger seats, making it useful for group travel.

The harness is visible on the cloud. Shears remove it when the cloud has no riders. Baby clouds cannot be used as the adult flying mount until they grow up.

Anti Hero Defenses

Anti Heroes behave like village inhabitants while also acting as defenders. They can:

• Trade with players.
• Work according to a village schedule.
• Attack monsters and illagers.
• Hide in beds and move through village areas.
• Transform into a witch after being struck by lightning outside Peaceful difficulty.
• Become a zombie villager if fatally attacked by a zombie or husk.

Progression And Strategy

1. Start with bamboo. It lets you tame, heal, feed, and breed Bamboo Guardians.
2. Tame more than one guardian. A small group can protect you while exploring.
3. Keep your guardian close. Tamed guardians follow you, but dangerous terrain can still separate them temporarily.
4. Build a bamboo enclosure. Bamboo blocks help adult guardians breed, and a protected enclosure keeps babies safe.
5. Use the Cotton Candy Cloud for travel. Equip an adult with a harness before attempting to ride.
6. Use Anti Heroes in defended settlements. Keep them near villagers and protect them from lightning and undead attackers.
