Autumn Grove

Quickstart

1. Head out exploring warm, inland areas of the Overworld — you're looking for a glowing Autumn Grove biome full of orange maple trees and amber-colored grass.
2. Once you find it, chop down the Maple Logs with an axe and shear the Maple Leaves for extra drops.
3. Break the golden Amber Grass with a shovel and clear away the Fallen Leaves carpeting the ground.
4. Watch for Amber Acorns — a wild snack food that falls out of Maple Leaves when they're broken. Eat one for a quick, small bite of hunger.
5. Type /autumngrove in chat for an in-game reminder of where to look for the biome.

Overview

Autumn Grove adds a brand-new biome to the Overworld: a warm, glowing forest full of maple trees, golden grass, and drifts of fallen leaves. It's a purely exploration- and gathering-focused biome — there's no new crafting system or dimension, just a distinctive new place to find, decorate with, and forage in.

What It Adds

New Biome

• Autumn Grove — a warm, inland biome that blends into normal Overworld terrain generation. You won't need any special items or portals to reach it; just explore temperate, inland regions and keep an eye out for its distinct orange glow.

New Blocks

New Item

• Amber Acorn — a small snack food found by breaking Maple Leaves. Restores a little hunger, similar to other quick snack foods.

How To Use

• Finding the biome: Autumn Grove generates naturally as part of normal world generation in warm, inland climate zones. There's no summoning item or structure needed — just travel and explore. Use the /autumngrove command any time for a quick hint about where to look.
• Harvesting Maple Logs: Chop them down with an axe like any other tree trunk, then place them as building material.
• Harvesting Maple Leaves: Break them with any tool to remove them, or use shears to collect the leaf blocks intact for decoration. Breaking leaves (with any tool) also has a chance to drop Amber Acorns.
• Harvesting Amber Grass: Dig it up with a shovel, just like normal grass blocks.
• Clearing Fallen Leaves: These sit flat on the ground and can be shoveled up quickly. They have no collision, so you can walk straight through them without being slowed down.
• Eating Amber Acorns: Right-click while holding one to eat it for a small, quick snack of hunger and saturation — handy for a bite while exploring the grove.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting involved with Autumn Grove's contents — everything is obtained directly from the world:

• Maple Logs, Maple Leaves, Amber Grass, and Fallen Leaves are gathered by breaking the corresponding blocks found naturally in the biome.
• Amber Acorns are a foraged item, dropped when breaking Maple Leaves (with a chance of 1–2 per break), or occasionally recovered even if the leaves are destroyed by an explosion.
• All harvested blocks can be placed again anywhere in the world, letting you bring a piece of the glowing autumn grove to your own builds.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Amber Acorn (food): A snack-tier food item that provides a small amount of hunger and saturation — useful for topping off hunger without needing to fully sit down for a meal.
• Fallen Leaves (terrain decoration): Unlike some decorative ground covers, Fallen Leaves have no collision and sit flush with the ground, so they never interrupt walking or building.
• Maple Leaves rendering: Maple Leaves are semi-transparent like normal leaves, letting light and color show through the canopy for the grove's glowing look.

Progression And Strategy

Autumn Grove doesn't gate any items or abilities behind combat or crafting progression — it's an exploration and aesthetic-focused addition. Your main goals when visiting are:

• Foraging for Amber Acorns as a light, renewable food source while you explore.
• Gathering building materials — Maple Logs, Maple Leaves, Amber Grass, and Fallen Leaves — for autumn-themed builds elsewhere in your world.
• Marking the biome's location once found, since it blends into normal terrain and can be easy to walk past without noticing its glow from a distance.
