Quickstart

1. Craft the Amber Propeller Mushroom using the recipe below.
2. Hold it in your hand and right-click (use).
3. You'll be launched high into the air instantly, then drift gently back down thanks to Slow Falling.

Overview

The Amber Propeller Mushroom is a consumable orange-tinted mushroom item that doubles as a personal launch tool. Right-clicking it fires you straight up with a powerful burst of upward velocity, followed by 5 seconds of Slow Falling so you float safely back to the ground. It's a quick, reusable mobility item with a satisfying launch sound and a shimmering glint to set it apart in your inventory.

What It Adds

• Has a golden tooltip: "Propels you skyward!" and "Grants Slow Falling on use"
• Displays a shimmering enchantment glint even without being enchanted
• Tagged as both a mushroom and a food item

How To Use

• Right-click while holding the mushroom to activate it.
• You are immediately launched upward with strong vertical velocity.
• Slow Falling (5 seconds) is applied automatically, letting you drift down without taking fall damage.
• In Survival mode, one mushroom is consumed per use.
• A 3-second cooldown applies after each use — the item will show a cooldown overlay in your hotbar during this time.
• In Creative mode, the mushroom is not consumed and can be used freely.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is unlocked automatically when you join a world.

Craft with 3 Brown Mushrooms, 1 Orange Dye, and 1 Feather in the pattern shown above. You can carry up to 16 in a single stack, making it easy to bring several for extended exploration.

Abilities And Mechanics

The launch is immediate — the moment you right-click, you're airborne. Fall distance is reset on activation so you won't accumulate dangerous fall distance from the launch itself. The Slow Falling effect ensures a gentle landing as long as the effect lasts.

Progression And Strategy

• Early exploration: A few mushrooms in your inventory let you quickly scale cliffs or escape mobs by launching over terrain.
• Emergency escape: The instant vertical launch can pull you out of dangerous ground-level situations in seconds.
• Stacking uses: With a stack of 16 and only a 3-second cooldown, you can chain multiple launches for extended aerial travel — just craft or carry extra stacks.
• No fall damage needed: The built-in Slow Falling effect means you don't need Feather Falling boots or a water bucket landing for a safe return to ground.
