Quickstart

1. Craft the Acorn Glider Suit using the recipe below.
2. Right-click the suit in your hand to instantly equip it in your chestplate slot.
3. Jump off a ledge — you'll automatically begin gliding with a small upward boost.
4. Explore forests and tall cliffs to feel all of its movement abilities in action.

Overview

The Acorn Glider Suit is a leather-tier chestplate that fundamentally changes how you move. It replaces the standard "fall and take damage" experience with a full suite of aerial and ground mobility abilities: gliding, wall sliding, enhanced jumping, forest sprinting, and heavy fall damage reduction — all active simply by wearing it.

What It Adds

A single item: the Acorn Glider Suit, a chestplate armor piece with an enchantment glint. It appears in the Combat creative tab and provides 5 armor points (the same as a standard chestplate). The recipe is unlocked as soon as you join a world.

How To Use

Equipping

Right-click the suit while holding it to auto-equip it directly into your chestplate slot, as long as the slot is empty.

Gliding

When you fall while wearing the suit, gliding activates automatically:

• A small upward lift kicks in at the moment gliding starts.
• Your descent slows to a gentle drift, and you retain and gradually build horizontal momentum.
• To cancel the glide and fall normally, hold Sneak while airborne.

Wall Sliding

If you are falling near a wall and hold Sneak, the suit detects the nearby solid blocks and switches from a glide-cancel into a slow wall slide instead — letting you descend gently along cliff faces and building walls.

Landing

Fall damage is reduced by 75%. Only 25% of what would normally be dealt actually applies, and small falls that would result in less than 1 damage are completely negated.

Jumping

Every jump while wearing the suit sends you slightly higher than normal, making it easier to clear obstacles and re-initiate glides.

Forest Speed Boost

While on the ground and surrounded by nearby tree leaves or logs, the suit grants a noticeable speed boost. The effect triggers whenever there are at least a few tree blocks within a short radius around you, rewarding exploration through dense forests.

Crafting And Obtaining

The suit is crafted from materials gathered in the early-to-mid game: leather, string, feathers, and a phantom membrane. The phantom membrane is the primary bottleneck — it drops from Phantoms, which spawn when you haven't slept for several in-game days.

Abilities And Mechanics

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Craft the suit as soon as you can survive a few sleepless nights to gather a phantom membrane. The jump boost and fall damage reduction alone make it valuable immediately.
• Exploration: The forest speed boost makes the suit particularly rewarding in wooded biomes. Plan routes through trees to keep your speed up.
• Cliff and mountain traversal: Use gliding to cross gaps and descend safely. For steep cliff walls, hold Sneak to wall-slide down rather than taking fall damage.
• Combat positioning: The enhanced jump and glide give you aerial mobility advantages. Remember that sneaking while airborne cancels the glide if you need to drop quickly.
• The suit does not durability-drain from its special abilities, only from normal armor damage.
