Ants is a full survival‑progression mod built around massive, multi‑room anthill dungeons—entrances, nurseries, larders, forge chambers, queen halls and winding tunnels—filled with themed decorations, loot chests and scaled enemy waves that culminate in intense queen fights; generated anthills are protected no‑build zones. After defeating your first queen you unlock the gene‑editing menu (open with G) to install queen pheromones for recurring combat and utility buffs, craft species‑specific ant armor and tools, and use the Ant Table UI for high‑tier progression crafts (Galaxant, Pure Galaxant, Uniant, Multiversal, Omniversal and Infinite gear), while the Antverse Expansion Codex (H) tracks pheromones, ascension relics, boss trial sigils, layered overarmor visuals and realm‑themed bonuses across the Overworld, Nether, End and twenty Antverse realms. When a queen is slain all participants are now given a 10‑second extraction delay (announced in the completion message) before being teleported to their personal respawn point (beds or other valid respawn targets), falling back to the Overworld world spawn if no personal spawn is set, so drops can still be collected.
