Arcane Binding Grimoire

Arcane Binding Grimoire: A magical book held in the off-hand that displays a mana UI and contains multiple pages of spells (types ranked by mana cost). Right-click with the Grimoire in the off-hand to open a central spell menu. Spells are unlocked/purchased using mob drops from the player's inventory (low-tier spells use common drops; higher tiers require rarer drops). Bind spells to hotbar slots with: /bind spell {Spell Name} {Slot 1-9}. Once bound, spells remain active while the Grimoire is anywhere in the player's inventory. To cast bound hotbar spells the player must equip a staff in the off-hand; cycling hotbar slots selects spells (default 1 second swap cooldown). Grimoires are craftable or obtainable via trades with the Arcanist villager, which spawns in its own tower.

Earthbound Grimoire

Earthbound Grimoire: a right-click spellbook that opens a 5-button interface of earth-only spells. Buttons and effects: 1) Quake — triggers a local earthquake that damages and knocks back nearby mobs and players; 2) Terra Spike — summons vertical stone spikes that impale and slow enemies in a line; 3) Stonewall — raises a temporary stone barrier to block movement and projectiles; 4) Mudslide — releases a fast mud flow that pushes and heavily slows entities in a path; 5) Earthen Ward — creates a temporary dome of rock that reduces incoming damage and heals allies inside. Each spell uses charges or mana and has individual cooldowns.

Inferno Grimoire

Inferno Grimoire: a handheld fire spell book. Right-click while holding to open a five-button GUI that casts fire abilities. Buttons: 1) Ember Bolt — fires a fast flaming projectile that ignites targets; 2) Flare Burst — short-range cone of flame that knocks back and ignites enemies; 3) Flamewall — summons a temporary vertical wall of fire that damages and blocks passage; 4) Inferno Nova — charged explosive AoE that deals heavy fire damage and applies strong burning; 5) Ember Veil — toggled buff granting short fire resistance and leaving an ember trail that ignites ground. Each ability has its own cooldown and burn duration.
