Quickstart

1. Open your inventory — the recipe is automatically unlocked when you join a world.
2. Craft the Zeus Thunderbolt using Lightning Rods and Gold Ingots:

1. Hold the sword and walk up to any mob — a single melee swing instantly kills it.
2. Right-click while holding the sword to call a lightning bolt down at whatever you're looking at (up to 64 blocks away). Step back and watch the thunder roll.

Overview

The Zeus Thunderbolt is a netherite-tier sword crackling with divine power. It dishes out instant death on contact in melee and lets you rain lightning from a distance with a right-click. Whether you're clearing a dungeon or taking out a distant boss, this weapon ends fights before they start.

What It Adds

The sword has a permanent enchantment glint, marking it as something beyond ordinary gear.

How To Use

Melee Combat

Swing the sword at any living entity as you would a normal sword. The strike deals effectively unlimited damage — nearly every living target is killed in a single hit regardless of health or armor.

Lightning Strike (Right-Click)

• Point your crosshair at a block or surface up to 64 blocks away and right-click.
• A lightning bolt crashes down at the targeted location, accompanied by a thunderclap sound.
• All living entities within roughly 4 blocks of the strike are hit for unlimited damage.
• If you're looking at open sky, the bolt lands about 16 blocks ahead of you.
• After firing, the sword enters a 2-second cooldown before it can strike again.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is unlocked automatically as soon as you enter any world — no advancement hunting required.

Gather Lightning Rods (copper bars crafted in a column) and Gold Ingots from mining or looting, then craft the Zeus Thunderbolt at a crafting table.

Abilities And Mechanics

Progression And Strategy

• Early aggression: The recipe only requires Lightning Rods and Gold Ingots — no ancient debris or Nether star needed. You can obtain this weapon relatively early and immediately gain a massive power advantage.
• Crowd clearing: The lightning blast's 4-block radius hits multiple mobs at once. Cluster enemies together or wait for tight groups before firing.
• Boss fights: Both the melee swing and the lightning strike deal unlimited damage, making even the Ender Dragon and Wither trivial. Position yourself, right-click, and the fight is over before the cooldown expires.
• Cooldown awareness: The 2-second cooldown applies only to the ranged lightning, not melee. In close quarters, keep swinging; save the right-click for ranged or grouped targets.
• Friendly fire caution: The lightning strike damages all living entities in the blast radius, including pets, villagers, and other players. Aim carefully in populated areas.
