Worlds End Cataclysm
Quickstart
- Install the
.mcaddon file and apply both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack to your world.
- Load or create a world — the moment it loads, the apocalypse begins automatically. No setup or commands required.
- Watch the action bar at the bottom of your screen: it shows the current day, the active stage label, and your Doom Severity level.
- Survive as many days as you can. Every day that passes makes disasters more frequent and more destructive.
Overview
Worlds End Cataclysm transforms any Bedrock world into an escalating, automatic end-of-world survival scenario. From the second your world loads, a relentless sequence of natural (and supernatural) disasters begins targeting players. The longer you survive, the worse things get — there is no safe plateau, only mounting doom.
What It Adds
- Four disaster types that strike players repeatedly and escalate over time:
- Tornadoes — Violent vortexes that tear up terrain around you.
- Earthquakes — Ground-shaking events that devastate the landscape.
- Moonfalls — Debris from the breaking moon crashes down (active from Day 3).
- Sunfire — Solar flares and fire rain from the exploded sun (active from Day 8).
- A live HUD showing your current day, stage name, and Doom Severity (1–50).
- Hostile mob escalation — Every mob in the world is continuously pushed toward hostility.
- Persistent state — Your progress (days survived, disaster timers) is auto-saved every 30 seconds and survives world reloads.
Abilities And Mechanics
Stage Progression
| Day | Event | Effect |
|---|
| 1–2 | Moon Cracking | Tornadoes and earthquakes begin. Rain starts. |
| 3+ | Moon Breaking | Moonfalls added. Disasters intensify each day. |
| 8+ | Sun Exploded | Sunfire added. Permanent thunderstorm. Catastrophic escalation. |
Doom Severity
The Doom Severity stat (shown on your HUD) ranges from 5 to 50 and controls how frequently disasters strike. It increases every day based on which stages have been reached:
- Before Day 3: severity grows slowly with the day count.
- Day 3+: the broken moon adds to severity each day.
- Day 8+: the exploded sun adds 3 severity per day on top of the moon bonus.
At maximum severity (50), disasters fire at roughly 30% of their base interval, meaning near-constant catastrophe.
Disaster Frequency
Each disaster type has a base cooldown (in seconds) that is reduced by your current Doom Severity:
| Disaster | Base Cooldown |
|---|
| Sunfire | ~55 seconds |
| Moonfall | ~70 seconds |
| Tornado | ~85 seconds |
| Earthquake | ~110 seconds |
Up to 70% of the base cooldown can be cut as severity rises.
Tornadoes & Earthquakes
Tornadoes shred blocks within an expanding radius around a targeted player. Earthquakes similarly rupture the ground in a wide radius. Both effects grow in size as Doom Severity increases.
Moonfalls
Starting on Day 3, chunks of the breaking moon fall toward players. These intensify in frequency and impact radius as days pass.
Sunfire
From Day 8 onward, the exploded sun scorches the world. Permanent thunderstorms replace rain, and sunfire events rain down destruction on players.
Hostile Mobs
Every second, the mod forces all nearby mobs (passive and neutral) into a hostile state, turning the entire living world against you. Even animals will hunt players within a ~28-block radius.
Weather
- Days 1–7: Continuous rain.
- Day 8+: Permanent thunderstorm (cannot be cleared while the sun is exploded).
Progression And Strategy
- Prioritize shelter early. Tornadoes and earthquakes begin immediately — underground or reinforced structures offer the best protection.
- Day 3 is a turning point. Moonfalls add a new aerial threat. Expand your shelter's roof coverage before this day arrives.
- Prepare hard before Day 8. The sun exploding triggers permanent thunderstorms and sunfire. Stock food, gear, and healing before the transition.
- Don't trust passive mobs. Every creature is hostile. Avoid roaming open areas without armor.
- Track your Doom Severity. Once it climbs past ~30, disaster strikes become near-constant. Focus on defense over resource gathering at that point.
- There is no win condition — Worlds End Cataclysm is a survival endurance challenge. Set personal records for days survived and try to outlast previous attempts.
