Quickstart

1. Join or load a world — on your very first spawn you automatically receive a Withered Feast Codex, a Withered Village Charter, and 4 Withered Apples. No crafting needed to begin.
2. Use (tap/right-click) the Withered Feast Codex to open the main menu. From here you can browse the catalog, grab a starter kit, or preview armory pieces.
3. Use a Withered Village Charter to place a numbered withered village ruin right where you stand and kick off your first raid. Survive three waves of Withered Thralls within 180 seconds to earn gear rewards.
4. Watch your action bar during the raid — it shows your current village number, wave progress, live thrall count, and remaining time.

Overview

Withered Realms is a withered-themed content pack built around a loop of catalog discovery → village raids → combat → gear progression. A sprawling 15,000-entry catalog of withered mobs, foods, villages, and armory is navigated through the Withered Feast Codex. Players place withered village ruins, fight through wave-based raids, and collect powerful withered equipment and consumables as rewards.

Mob

Withered Thrall — an undead humanoid that spawns in groups of 2–4 in dark areas on the surface and underground (Easy–Hard difficulty). During raids they appear in numbered variant form and encircle you at increasing radius with each wave. They burn in daylight, can break doors, and drop Withered Cores on death, with a rare chance to drop a Withered Apple, Withered Village Charter, or Withered Sword when killed by a player.

How To Use

Withered Feast Codex

Use the Codex at any time to open the mod's menu. Options include:

• Start a Raid — consumes one Withered Village Charter and builds a withered village ruin at your feet.
• Starter Kit — grants a fresh set of starter supplies.
• Armory Preview — lets you browse or claim armory samples.

Running a Raid

1. Open the Codex and select Start a Raid (or simply use a Charter directly).
2. A uniquely numbered village ruin generates around you.
3. Three waves of Withered Thralls spawn in a ring — each wave larger and at a wider radius than the last:
   • Wave 1: 5 Thralls
   • Wave 2: 7 Thralls
   • Wave 3: 9 Thralls
4. Your action bar displays: Withered Village #N | Wave X/3 | Thralls Y | Zs
5. Clear all three waves within 180 seconds to win.
6. If the timer runs out before you finish, the raid fails and the village is removed.

Victory Rewards

Completing a raid grants:

• 8 levels of XP
• 3 Withered Cores
• 8 Withered Apples
• 1 Withered Village Charter (to run another raid)
• A full set of withered armory pieces and tools

Withered Apple

Eat a Withered Apple (slightly slower than a normal apple) to trigger scripted withered effects. Apples are plentiful — awarded at spawn, dropped by Thralls, and rewarded from raid victories.

Withered Bow

Equip and use the Withered Bow as a ranged weapon. It supports all standard bow enchantments and has a powered withered ability that activates in combat.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Wave Scaling — each successive wave spawns more Thralls that encircle you at a greater distance, increasing the challenge.
• Action-Bar HUD — real-time raid status is always visible without opening any menu.
• Thrall Variants — each Thrall carries a unique numbered name tag derived from the village index and wave, reflecting the mod's massive catalog of variants.
• Daylight Burn — Withered Thralls ignite in sunlight outside of raids, so daytime exploration is safer than nights or underground.
• Looting Bonus — a Looting-enchanted weapon increases the chance and quantity of Withered Core drops from Thralls.
• All withered armor and the bow are enchantable, giving strong long-term gear investment.

Progression And Strategy

1. Early game — use your starter Charter immediately to run your first raid and get your hands on a withered armory set. The Thralls are manageable, and the gear jump is significant.
2. Core farming — kill Withered Thralls in the wild (they spawn like zombies at night) to stockpile Withered Cores. Cores unlock every craftable item in the mod.
3. Raid loop — each completed raid refunds a Charter, so victories are self-sustaining. Use Withered Apples during fights to maintain health with their scripted effects.
4. Enchanting — invest XP earned from raids into enchanting your withered sword, bow, and armor. The enchantability value on all pieces is solid, giving good results.
5. Catalog exploration — open the Codex between raids to discover and unlock new entries from the 15,000-item catalog, expanding your collection of withered mob, food, village, and armory variants.
