Mod Wiki
Wisp
Quickstart
- In Creative, find the Wisp Spawn Egg and use it to spawn a Wisp. You can also summon one with
/summon com_wisp_hm4qes6h:mycustom. - Hold a soul lantern and interact with a Wisp to gain regeneration, resistance, and speed for 8 seconds.
- Don’t offer it a wither rose unless you want that Wisp to attack you.
Overview
Wisp is a small, free-flying Nether mob. It naturally spawns on the Nether’s surface in low light, usually in groups of one or two. It makes occasional chime sounds as it hovers.
What It Adds
- A flying mob with 20 health that attacks nearby monsters.
- A soul-lantern interaction that gives the player three temporary effects.
- A wither-rose interaction that can make a Wisp hostile toward the player who offered the rose.
How To Use
Hold the item and interact with the Wisp:
| Item | Effect |
|---|---|
| Soul lantern | Gives you regeneration, resistance, and speed for 8 seconds. |
| Wither rose | Makes the Wisp target you when it can see you nearby. |
Wisps attack monsters on their own and hover around their surroundings. The soul-lantern interaction grants effects to you; it does not make the Wisp follow you.
Crafting And Obtaining
Wisps can spawn naturally on the Nether’s surface in low light. For a quick encounter, use the Wisp Spawn Egg in Creative mode or the summon command in Quickstart. No crafting recipe is available.
A defeated Wisp drops 1–2 amethyst shards. It can also drop glowstone dust when killed by a player.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Wisps fly and hover rather than walking.
- They seek out visible monsters nearby and attack with melee strikes.
- Offering a wither rose adds you as a target for that Wisp. Avoid using one if you want to keep the encounter peaceful.
