Description
Wickpiercer is a powerful melee sword (Attack Damage: 10) with the Flicker Fury passive: if you would die or drop to 1 heart it automatically heals you to full and grants Resistance for a short time (15-second cooldown). Right-click to activate Flicker Fury for 1 second — your attack speed is greatly increased and the first successful hit triggers a single empowered follow-up strike that bypasses vanilla hurt invulnerability on living non-player mobs; activation plays a sound and starts the 15-second cooldown, and there are no on-screen action-bar messages, so rely on the sound/visual effects and your health bar (the 1-second active window will not persist after world reload). Durability now matches netherite (max 2031) and the sword only loses 1 durability per successful mob hit, with the empowered follow-up not causing extra wear, making it

Overview
Wickpiercer is an epic-rarity melee sword built around a single signature ability: Flicker Fury. It hits hard, lasts a long time, and provides a powerful safety net that can turn certain death into a second chance. Both a passive lifesaver and an active damage burst, it rewards aggressive play while keeping you alive through the worst moments.

Abilities And Mechanics
Flicker Fury — Passive (Near-Death Save)
When you are holding Wickpiercer and take damage that drops your health to 1 heart (2 HP) or below, the passive automatically triggers:
- Heals you to full health on the very next tick.
- Grants Resistance IV for 10 seconds, making you nearly immune to damage during recovery.
- Plays a totem-style sound to signal the proc.
- Starts a 15-second cooldown shared with the active use.
Because there is no action-bar message, rely on the sound, the Resistance particle effect, and your health bar to know it fired.
Flicker Fury — Active (Right-Click Burst)
Right-clicking while holding Wickpiercer manually activates Flicker Fury for 1 second:
- A distinct activation sound plays immediately.
- Your attack speed is greatly increased for that 1-second window.
- The first successful hit on a living non-player mob during this window triggers an empowered follow-up strike — a second hit that bypasses vanilla hurt invulnerability, dealing bonus damage immediately after the first.
- Activating immediately puts Flicker Fury on its 15-second cooldown.
- The active window does not persist across a world reload; if you reload mid-window, the boost is gone.
Durability And Wear
- Wickpiercer only loses 1 durability per successful mob hit.
- The empowered follow-up strike from the active burst causes no additional durability loss.
- With 2031 max durability and conservative wear, the sword lasts through enormous amounts of combat.
- Repair it with Diamonds at an anvil, or enchant it with Mending to sustain it indefinitely.
Crafting And Obtaining
Wickpiercer is crafted at a Crafting Table. Picking up a Candle will unlock the recipe in your recipe book.
Required materials:
- 3× Candle
- 2× Gold Ingot
- 1× Trident
- 1× Nether Brick
- 1× Blaze Rod
- 1× Vex Armor Trim Smithing Template
Progression And Strategy
- Early activation use: Right-click just before engaging a tough mob or boss to open with maximum attack speed and land the empowered double-hit immediately. This front-loads enormous burst damage.
- Passive as insurance: Keep Wickpiercer in hand during dangerous fights (cave exploration, boss arenas, mob swarms). The passive will catch a lethal blow once every 15 seconds, giving you a full heal and a Resistance buffer to escape or fight back.
- Cooldown awareness: Both the passive and active share the same 15-second cooldown. If you manually activate it, the passive safety net is unavailable for 15 seconds — time your bursts carefully.
- Enchanting: The sword occupies the sword enchantment slot, so Sharpness, Fire Aspect, Looting, and Mending all apply. Mending is especially valuable given how little durability it consumes.
- Repair with Diamonds: Each Diamond restores 390 durability at an anvil, making top-ups cheap even late-game.
