Voidlight Monolith

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, open the Tools tab and take a Structure Wand.
2. Select the wand and use it on a block face. You can also obtain it with: /give @s voidlight-monolith-w7oprmwe:structure_wand
3. The wand launches a projectile. When it hits, the Voidlight Monolith assembles at the impact point and extends in the direction you were facing.
4. Wait several seconds for the blocks to spiral into place and the construction animation to finish. The wand has a cooldown of about 3 seconds between uses.

For direct placement, use:

• /structure list — Lists available structures.
• /structure build voidlight_monolith — Builds the monolith at your position at full size.
• /structure build voidlight_monolith <size> — Builds it with an approximate largest dimension between 16 and 256 blocks.

Choose a clear area before placing it. Generated blocks can occupy the surrounding space and replace blocks in the monolith’s footprint.

Overview

Voidlight Monolith adds a single freestanding decorative structure: a compact, vertical pillar with a solid, slightly tapered silhouette.

Its lower section uses light gray mottled stone- or metal-like surfaces. Above it sits a dark charcoal cube decorated with symmetrical lavender and pale pink void-rune patterns. The rune motif is visible on each side and on the top of the structure.

The monolith is assembled with a dramatic particle animation rather than appearing instantly.

How To Use

Placing With the Structure Wand

Hold the Structure Wand, aim at a block face, and use it.

• The projectile travels in the direction you are looking.
• On a block impact, the structure begins at the block adjacent to the struck face.
• The monolith extends away from you in the direction you were facing when you used the wand.
• The structure is oriented according to your horizontal facing direction.
• A chime and particles mark the impact and construction.
• The wand is not consumed, but it has a short cooldown after each use.

Aim at the ground or a suitable vertical surface to control where the base or back edge of the monolith begins.

Placing With Commands

Use /structure list to confirm the available structure name. The available entry is voidlight_monolith.

To build at full size:

/structure build voidlight_monolith

To request a target size:

/structure build voidlight_monolith 64

The optional size must be from 16 to 256. It represents the approximate largest dimension. If the requested size is larger than the structure’s full size, the monolith remains at full size rather than being enlarged.

The command uses your current position as the origin and your current horizontal facing to orient the structure.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Structure Wand has no crafting recipe. Obtain it from the Creative-mode Tools tab or use:

/give @s voidlight-monolith-w7oprmwe:structure_wand

The Colored Voxel block is used as part of the generated monolith and is not required as an ingredient for placing the structure.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The monolith is a decorative structure; it does not provide a stated combat, mining, or utility ability.
• Its lavender and pale pink rune patterns are preserved across the visible faces and top.
• Full-size placement preserves the structure’s original block layout.
• Smaller command sizes scale the structure down. When multiple source blocks map to one position, their colors are blended.
• Placement begins with animated block displays and particles, then finishes by leaving the completed Colored Voxel structure in the world.
• The monolith is freestanding and does not require a separate support structure.

Progression And Strategy

Voidlight Monolith has no built-in progression system. Use the wand or command to experiment with placement and orientation:

• Place one in an open area so the construction animation is easy to see.
• Stand at the intended back edge and face the direction in which you want the pillar to extend.
• Use smaller command sizes for compact landmarks or larger open spaces.
• Place several monoliths with different facing directions to create a symmetrical shrine, gateway, or ruin.
• Leave enough room around the destination for the animated blocks and particles to be visible.
