Villager Fuel Can

Quickstart

1. Trade with a Master-level Toolsmith or Expert-level Weaponsmith villager to obtain a Villager Fuel Can (starts full at 100 fuel).
2. Place a block of Fueler's TNT (craft it first — see below).
3. Hold the Fuel Can in your hand and hold right-click on the Fueler's TNT block. Each tick of holding adds 1 fuel to the block. After 20 fuel is poured, it automatically primes and counts down.
4. Stand well back — the explosion has a power of 8 and a wide chain-prime radius.

Overview

Villager Fuel Can introduces a deliberate, fuel-based method of priming explosives. Instead of lighting TNT with flint-and-steel, you pour fuel from a jerrycan onto special TNT blocks, one unit at a time. The mod adds three new items — the Villager Fuel Can, the Flaming Emerald crafting ingredient, Fueler's TNT, and Nuclear TNT — each with its own fueling threshold and destructive potential.

How To Use

The Fuel Can

When the Villager Fuel Can is in your main hand or offhand, a vertical fuel gauge appears on the right side of your HUD:

• Green — high fuel (above 70%)
• Yellow — mid range (30–70%)
• Red — low fuel (below 30%)

The item tooltip also shows your current fuel percentage and usage reminders.

To pour fuel, hold right-click while pointing at a supported TNT block. Each interval adds 1 unit of fuel to the block and consumes 1 unit from the can. If the can runs dry before the block is fully fueled, the block stays inert — it will not ignite automatically.

You can also pour fuel onto vanilla TNT blocks. Vanilla TNT requires a smaller amount of fuel to prime and will then behave like normal primed TNT.

Fueling Progress

Fueling is gradual and tracked per-block. If you stop right-clicking partway through, the fuel already poured into the block is saved as long as the block remains placed. The block is removed from the world the moment it primes.

Abilities And Mechanics

Fueler's TNT

• Requires 20 fuel poured by a Fuel Can to prime — it cannot be ignited by fire, flint-and-steel, or redstone alone.
• Once primed, a visible flashing entity spawns with an 80-tick (4-second) fuse.
• Explosion power: 8. On detonation it chain-primes nearby TNT blocks within a radius equal to the explosion power.

Nuclear TNT

• Requires exactly 100 fuel to prime. Each right-click hold adds 1 fuel; your HUD chat shows Fueling Nuclear Tnt: X/100 as you go.
• Once fully fueled, a visible flashing Nuclear TNT entity spawns with a 120-tick (6-second) fuse.
• Explosion power: 256.
• On detonation:
  • A standard explosion of power 256 is created.
  • A secondary devastation pass destroys blocks out to a 224-block radius.
  • Fire is scattered across a wide area with thousands of flame and lava particles.
  • Nearby TNT blocks (including Fueler's TNT and other Nuclear TNT) are chain-primed within roughly 192 blocks.
  • A custom nuclear explosion sound plays, layered with thunder and rumble effects.
  • Players within 512 blocks experience a blinding white screen flash lasting about 13 seconds, accompanied by fading bell and thunder rumble sounds.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Trade emeralds with a Toolsmith or Weaponsmith villager to get your first Fuel Can. A single can holds 100 fuel, enough to prime five Fueler's TNT blocks (20 each) or one full Nuclear TNT (100).
• Mid game: Craft Fueler's TNT for controlled demolition. Because it can only be triggered by the Fuel Can, it is safe to place and will not be set off by accidents or nearby explosions.
• Late game: Save up Flaming Emeralds and craft Nuclear TNT for maximum destruction. Because Nuclear TNT requires 100 fuel — an entire full can — plan your detonations carefully. Keep multiple Fuel Cans in stock.
• Chain reactions: A single Nuclear TNT detonation can chain-prime every TNT block (including other Nuclear TNT) within ~192 blocks. Spacing your charges beyond that radius prevents unintended cascades. Placing multiple Nuclear TNT blocks within that radius creates a cascading nuclear chain reaction.
• Safety: The blinding flash affects any player within 512 blocks. Warn nearby players before detonating Nuclear TNT in multiplayer.
