Quickstart

Travel to the End and look around the islands for small, glowing fish hovering in the air. Watch from a safe spot: Vane rise above the islands, bounce occasionally, then dive back down toward the void before reappearing below.

To see one immediately in Creative, find the Vane Spawn Egg in the inventory. With commands enabled, use /summon com_vane_g6ii7etx:mycustom.

Overview

Vane are flying End creatures that move between the space below the islands and the air above them. They’re best encountered by watching their flight cycle; no special item or interaction is needed.

What It Adds

• Glowing, fish-like flying creatures called Vane.
• Natural encounters in the End, usually alone or in small groups.
• A repeated pattern of hovering, rising, bouncing, and diving.

How To Use

Find Vane in the End and observe them from a stable island. Their dives take them toward the void, so avoid following them off an edge. In Creative, use the spawn egg to place one nearby.

Abilities And Mechanics

Vane hover beneath End islands before rising above them. They remain above for a while, making occasional folded-wing bounces, then perform a dive and return below the islands. They have 16 health.

If killed, a Vane may drop 0–2 chorus fruit. A player-killed Vane also has a small chance to drop an ender pearl; Looting can improve drops.

Progression And Strategy

Vane have no crafting recipe or player progression tied to them. Treat them as a wildlife sighting: watch for their glow above the islands, and keep your footing while they dive.
