Undertow Shell

Quickstart

• In Creative: Find the Undertow Shell Spawn Egg in the spawn egg inventory and use it to spawn a mine, preferably underwater.
• With commands: Summon one using /summon com_undertow_shell_btmxoug6:mycustom.
• In Survival: Look for one in a dimly lit cold ocean. Keep your distance: it can spot you from up to 24 blocks away, chase, and explode if it gets close.

Overview

The Undertow Shell is a large, floating aquatic mine. It swims toward visible players, speeds up when pursuing, and detonates after closing in. It has 40 health.

How To Use

There’s no special interaction required: the mine targets players on its own. When it reaches very close range, it begins a short arming animation and detonates about 1.6 seconds later if you remain nearby and in its line of sight.

To avoid the blast, quickly put distance between yourself and the mine or break its line of sight before it finishes arming. Its explosion can hurt nearby players, but does not break blocks or start fires.

Crafting And Obtaining

Undertow Shells can spawn naturally in cold ocean biomes in low light, or be spawned with the Creative spawn egg or summon command above.
