Typhoon Sword

Quickstart

1. At a crafting table, make Typhoon Ore from eight water buckets and one netherite ingot:

1. Craft nine Typhoon Ore into a Typhoon Ore Block:
2. Craft the sword with two Typhoon Ore Blocks above a stick:

1. Equip the Typhoon Sword in your main hand. Try using it while standing in water or out in the rain: this empowers its Typhoon Splash ability. The action bar shows when the ability is ready or how many seconds remain on its cooldown.

Overview

Typhoon Sword is a combat-focused mod centered on a water-forged blade. The sword is a melee weapon, and its special attack is strongest when you wield it while wet.

What It Adds

How To Use

Hold the sword in your main hand and use it to trigger Typhoon Splash when empowered. The burst appears just ahead of where you are looking, so face toward nearby enemies.

You can also attack normally with the sword. Its special burst requires water or exposure to rain.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Typhoon Splash: Hits nearby entities within 5 blocks of the burst for 18 damage and launches them outward. It also creates a large water-splash effect. The burst can hit nearby creatures as well as hostile mobs, so take care around allies.
• Empowerment: The ability can be used while you are in water or exposed to rain under open sky. Being under a roof shelters you from rain.
• Wet-wielder strength: While holding the sword in water or exposed to rain, you receive Strength II. This bonus does not apply in deserts, savannas, badlands, or mesas.
• Cooldown: Typhoon Splash has a 25-second cooldown. While holding the sword, the action bar displays its remaining time or Typhoon Splash: Ready.

Crafting And Obtaining

All three recipes are made at a crafting table. Typhoon Ore is crafted from water buckets and a netherite ingot; combine nine Typhoon Ore to make a Typhoon Ore Block, then use two blocks and a stick to craft the sword.

The ore block is a full-sized placeable block and can be mined with a pickaxe. In Creative inventory, the sword is listed under Equipment.

Progression And Strategy

Save the splash for groups within its short range, and aim toward the center of the enemies you want to hit. Fight in water or during exposed rain to activate the burst and gain Strength II; remember that the Strength bonus is unavailable in the listed dry biomes.
