How To Use
Passive — Flame Aura & Fire Trail
While the Twinflame Magma Blade is held in your main hand, blue and red flames swirl continuously around the blade and sparks trail behind you as you move. This is purely visual and requires no input.
Special Ability 1 — Twinflame Ignition (Sneak)
Hold Sneak (Shift) and then use the item (right-click / tap use) to trigger Twinflame Ignition. All mobs within 6 blocks are set on fire, and a burst of flame particles erupts around you. Your action bar confirms how many targets were ignited.
- Cooldown: 3 seconds between uses.
Special Ability 2 — Jump Explosion (Jump + Attack)
Jump into the air, then strike an enemy while airborne to unleash a massive fiery explosion centered on your target. Every mob within 5 blocks of the hit takes up to 25 damage (scaling down with distance), is launched outward by knockback, and is set on fire for 10 seconds. A ring of large explosion and flame particles erupts cinematically around the impact point.
- Cooldown: 5 seconds between uses.
- Damage is highest at the center and decreases toward the edge of the blast radius.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Twinflame Magma Blade at a standard Crafting Table once you have collected its Nether-tier ingredients:
Ingredients at a glance:
- Magma Blocks — top-left and top-right
- Lava Buckets — top-center and middle-center
- Netherite Ingots — middle-left and middle-right
- Blaze Rod — bottom-center (handle)
Abilities And Mechanics
| Ability | Trigger | Radius | Cooldown | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Twinflame Ignition | Sneak + Use | 6 blocks | 3 seconds | Sets nearby mobs on fire; flame particle burst |
| Jump Explosion | Jump + Attack | 5 blocks | 5 seconds | Up to 25 damage, knockback, fire (10 s), explosion particles |
The explosion deals distance-scaled damage — enemies directly at the impact point receive the full 25 damage, while those at the edge of the 5-block radius receive proportionally less (minimum ~20% of full damage).
Progression And Strategy
Repairing: The blade can be repaired at an Anvil using Netherite Ingots, Magma Cream, or Blaze Rods, each restoring 700 durability.
Enchanting: The blade occupies the sword enchantment slot and can be enchanted normally. Pair it with Fire Aspect, Sharpness, or Looting to amplify its already formidable lethality.
Combat tips:
- Open any fight by jumping over a group of mobs and triggering the Jump Explosion — the area knockback lets you follow up while enemies are scattered.
- Use Sneak Ignition when surrounded at close range to soften multiple targets simultaneously.
- Because the Jump Explosion requires airborne momentum, fighting on elevated terrain or using a jump sprint gives you repeated access to the ability with minimal downtime.
- The 5-second explosion cooldown resets quickly enough that nearly every major engagement can open and close with a blast.
