Description

The Turning Wrench is a handy tool that lets you rotate placed blocks without having to break and replace them. Simply right-click any rotatable block such as stairs, logs, pistons, furnaces, or dispensers to spin it 90 degrees clockwise. The wrench has 256 uses before it breaks, consuming one durability each time it successfully rotates a block.

  1. Hold the wrench in your hand and right-click any rotatable block — stairs, logs, pistons, furnaces, dispensers, and more.
  2. The block instantly rotates 90 degrees clockwise. Repeat to keep spinning it to your desired orientation.

Overview

The Turning Wrench lets you reorient placed blocks on the fly, saving you the hassle of breaking and replacing them just to change their facing direction. It's a simple quality-of-life tool perfect for building and decorating.

What It Adds

  • Turning Wrench — a single-use tool found in the Tools & Utilities creative tab. It does not stack and has 256 durability.

How To Use

  • Right-click a block while holding the wrench to rotate it 90 degrees clockwise around its axis.
  • Each successful rotation consumes 1 durability.
  • If a block cannot be rotated (it has no rotation state), the wrench does nothing and no durability is lost.
  • A subtle click sound plays on each successful rotation as audio feedback.
  • The wrench breaks after 256 successful rotations.

Works onAny block with a rotatable state (stairs, logs, pistons, furnaces, dispensers, etc.)

Progression And Strategy

  • Craft a wrench early in a build session to freely adjust block orientations without tearing down work.
  • Because the wrench has finite durability, avoid wasting uses on blocks you haven't confirmed the final orientation for — plan ahead and use all four rotations (4 × 90° = full circle) mindfully.
  • Keep a spare wrench in your inventory for large builds; three iron ingots make a fresh one whenever you need it.
